She is very happy to walk Ariana down the aisle as "Jack has good sentiments, is respectful to the entire family, has good morals, great principles, and is handsome, which are the base for a wonderful marriage." Her favorite things about Jack and Ariana's relationship are how kind they are to one another, their acceptance of one another's quirks, and how supportive they are of their shared and individual goals. October 16, 1960-November 6, 2017 English: Saul Calderón, Sr., affectionately called “Isa,” was Ariana’s father. While he is no longer with us, he had the pleasure of meeting Jack over countless video and phone calls. He would jokingly sing “Hit the Road Jack” whenever Ariana would call home to innocently poke fun at Jack. At the end of their phone calls, he would remark how happy he was to hear his youngest daughter had found someone who made her happy. He will be honored at the wedding. He met Christine during his medical residency in New Orleans and has lived in Minnesota for the last 15+ years, where he runs an MS center. He enjoys outdoor activities, gardening, cooking, and doing guy-stuff with friends. He loves Jack's sense of humor and his world view. He loves that Ariana is a mensch- and that she loves Jack so much, because Jon really loves Jack too. Español: Jonathan es del oeste de EE. UU. y Canadá (¡demasiados lugares para enumerar!). English: I was born in Los Angeles, CA, and later raised in Adairsville, GA, where I spent most days in various extracurriculars, learning, or taking care of my nephew Alex. After high school, I went to Lawrence University in WI. At Lawrence, I had the privilege of meeting most of my bridesmaids and the love of my life, Jack! Since graduating from Lawrence, I have entered a Ph.D. program and now live in Boston with Jack and our cat Happy. I enjoy cooking, baking, and keeping our Animal Crossing villagers happy. I am overjoyed to be marrying Jack and to see so many friends and family as we all live states away! English: I was born in New Orleans, LA and raised in Minneapolis, MN. Growing up, I had many interests including performing music in my band "Kittyjangles" as well as attending (and eventually working) at YMCA Camp Warren, where I met most of my groomsmen. After finishing high school, I went to Lawrence University where I met my future wife, Ariana! Since graduating, I now live in Boston with Ariana and our cat Happy. I enjoy working at a Biotech start-up, gardening, and playing video games. I am very excited to see everyone at the wedding! Español: Nací en Nueva Orleans, LA y me crié en Minneapolis, MN. English: I first met Ariana during a freshman orientation program at Lawrence University. After finding out she also spoke Spanish and was Latina, we quickly bonded. We took a math class together during our first trimester at Lawrence, which allowed us to get closer. I met Jack after they started dating and also became friends. During the summer between our sophomore and junior year, Ariana and I stayed at school together to do research for our respective departments. This solidified our friendship as we were able to spend a lot of time together having fun. Since graduating from Lawrence, they have become some of my best friends. I am extremely happy and excited to see them get married. Español: Conocí a Ariana durante un programa de orientación antes del primer año de la Universidad. Cuando supe que ella también hablaba español y era latina, nos hicimos amigos. Durante el primer trimestre de la Universidad, tomamos una clase de matemáticas juntos y nos hicimos amigos más cercanos. English: Hi, I’m Paige! Like everyone else in Boston, I’m a biologist. Ariana and I (along with Dorothy and Julian) have been friends since just before freshman year, initially drawn together by midwestern culture shock and biochemistry. Soon after, she introduced us to this guy she met at fencing team practice named Jack. We all became friends and even shared a suite in Junior and Senior year, where we commiserated during exam week and played Jackbox until we knew each other too well for it to be fun anymore. After nearly 8 years of weathering the bad and celebrating the good, I am so excited to see two of my best friends get their happily ever after. Español: ¡Hola, soy Paige! English: Born and raised in Minnesota, I am a plant science major from the University of Minnesota who enjoys gardening, houseplants, and cooking. When I was 13, I was fortunate to meet Jack at summer camp. It was a fast friendship with our mutual interests in primitive technology, video games, and musing about life. Our friendship eventually migrated to the Twin Cities, where we enjoyed many shenanigans during our high school years. I first met Ariana visiting them in college, where I saw how lucky Jack was to find someone so smart and fit Jack like a puzzle piece. It has been amazing to see them grow with each other and am honored to see them continue together. All three of us stuck together for the rest of the years, eventually becoming roommates in our junior and senior years. I’ve had the pleasure to see the relationship between Jack and Ariana blossom and I’m super excited to for them to be married! I enjoy visiting Jack and Ariana in Boston but am always happy to return home to Minneapolis where I’m a cat dad, rock musician, and software developer, in that order. English: I’m Natalie, one of Ariana’s bridesmaids. I currently live in Dearborn, Michigan with my two cats, Mabel and Millie. I’ve been lucky enough to know Ariana and Jack since the very start of their relationship, so I’m super excited to be a part of their wedding. I met Jack and Ariana at Lawrence, where we were all on the fencing team together. Ariana and I were both on the women’s foil squad, and we claimed Jack as an honorary member of the women’s foil team too. Ariana and Jack are my forever teammates, and even though we live in different parts of the country now, I know that we are always rooting for each other from a distance. I can’t wait to reunite with them at the wedding and celebrate the love of two of my favorite people! Español: Soy Natalie, una de las damas de honor de Ariana. English: Hello I’m Louis and I grew up (and still reside) in Minnesota, and like many of the others on this page met Jack while attending YMCA Camp Warren. I became closer to Jack when we were counselors and was taken in by his friend group. Jack is one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met with his wide breadth of knowledge. Nearly every conversation I have with Jack leads me down a multi-day-long rabbit hole of new interest. I feel very lucky to call him a friend. I first met Ariana at a get-together in the Twin Cities and it was so apparent what a wonderful match they were. I am so honored to get to be a part of such a remarkable day. English: I met Ariana in virology class at Tufts and had the pleasure of getting to know her more when she rotated in my lab during her first year of grad school. We worked and learned alongside each other and Ariana has so much enthusiasm and brings a thoughtful approach to her research projects. I am very happy and lucky to have had this fortunate opportunity because Ariana is superbly friendly and kind. I learned about her love for this cool blonde boy named Jack and got to meet him that semester too! I thought it was very cute that their domestic life together is filled with sweet moments like making weeknight chili and providing a nice home for Happy the Cat. I’m excited for their big day of love and union! English: I met Ariana in 2019 when she was working in a lab that I rotated in and later joined! While picking a lab for your thesis, one thing to consider is the lab environment and Ariana was amazing. She always would be available to lend a hand, show me where things were located and was one of the most organized people I’ve ever met. During the time we worked together, I’ve seen her grow as a scientist and friend! While we no longer work in the same lab, we meet up for Dunkins coffee breaks and to celebrate important occasions! The first time I met Jack, I could tell they were a perfect match. I am super excited to see them tie the knot and honored that I get to be part of their beautiful day. They've shared mud walks, nights off, New Year's Eves, and much more together. They'll be forever bonded from the time they shared the Office Double together with a lamp made of deer feet.
