Things To Do

The Riviera Maya is one of Ivette's favorite places to visit as there's so much to do. There are a few different options to tour all the different towns and sights. Dreams Sands Resort offers excursions through Amstar: https://www.amstardmc.com/en/excursion/riviera-maya/ We also recommend checking out www.tripadvisor.com for other excursions. Another option is renting a car to drive from Cancun to Tulum which about a two-hour drive or going on a shuttle. If you have any questions on what to do or how to get somewhere please don't hesitate to ask us!
Chichén-Itzá

Chichén-Itzá

Chichén-Itzá, Yuc., Mexico

Pack 1,000 years of history into a one-day excursion with one of the best tickets to Chichen Itza, whose magnificent ruins make it part of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Travel from Cancun or Riviera Maya to discover some of the planet’s most fascinating cultural riches at an archaeological complex full of temples and ancient structures, with a bilingual guide showing you the way. This excursion includes lunch at a local restaurant featuring the flavors of the Yucatan Peninsula, plus a refreshing swim at a nearby cenote (freshwater sinkhole) for a complete immersion into the Mayan world.

Xcaret Park

Xcaret Park

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. 77710, Mexico

Ivette went to Xcaret park in 2018 with her mom and sister and loved it. It's a full day activity with so much to do. Xcaret is a water park, theme, amusement, eco-archaeological and more, in one place. Due to its privileged location in the jungle among underground rivers, cenotes and facing the Caribbean Sea, Xcaret has impressive scenarios where you can do different activities and enjoy them to the fullest. Besides that, Xcaret is a theme park in Cancun and Riviera Maya that celebrates Mexico’s present and rich past, a country known for its traditions, culture and folklore.

Kin Toh

Kin Toh

Tulum, Q.R. 77780, Mexico

Kin Toh is a restaurant/bar/epic place in Tulum, about a two-hour drive south of Cancun. Tulum is a magical place and worth a visit. Kin Toh is Ivette's favorite place in Tulum. Make sure to make reservations ahead of time.

Cenotes

Cenotes

Beside its fabulous beaches and natural parks, the Riviera Maya is well known for its wonderful cenotes. Cenotes are swimming pools of fresh water. All the water from the rain in Riviera Maya area is filtered through the limestone and transformed into underwater rivers. There are so many cenotes to choose from, we suggest looking up "top 10 cenotes in riviera maya" and looking at photos to see which ones you want to visit. Ivette has been to Gran Cenote and Cenote Dos Ojos, both were really magical. We recommend going early in the morning before it gets crowded. There's nothing more serene than being in a cenote by yourself.

Tulum

Tulum

Tulum, Q.R., Mexico

Tulum is a two-hour drive from Cancun, you can get there by shuttle, private bus, tours, or rental car. It's worth a visit if you've never been. There are so many things to see and do, from cenotes, hip restaurants, art sculptures, magical infrastructure and even the Tulum ruins.

Playa Norte, Isla Mujeres

Playa Norte, Isla Mujeres

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. 77506, Mexico

Playa Norte (North Beach) in Isla Mujeres is one of Ivette's favorite places in Mexico. Isla Mujeres offers white sandy beaches with crystal clear blue water. To get there you take a ferry from Cancun to Isla Mujeres and from there you can either walk or take a taxi to the different beaches or walk through the towns.

Isla Holbox

Isla Holbox

Q.R., Mexico

Isla Holbox (pronounced "hol-bosh") is a rustic, tropical island located a few hours north of Cancun. It has crystal-clear blue waters and pristine beaches, and one of our bucket list places to visit, Punta Mosquito, which we haven't been to but can't wait to visit one day. Punta Mosquito is a large, pristine white sandbank with panoramic views and flamingos flocks. If you have time definitely make it a point to visit Isla Holbox!
