Travel Note
We recommend that everyone checks flights daily or semi-daily as prices can change quickly. We usually recommend checking and booking flights on Google Flights or Skyscanner (Skyscanner having better prices as of 1/25/23). A typical range for round trip flights to Dubrovnik from the west coast of the United States run between $900-1500 but anything under $1100 with good connections is a good price (please see the "Dubrovnik Airport (DBV)" note for suggestions on connecting airports and layover times). We recommend you book your flights no later than end of February as it becomes much harder to find a good priced flight after. Please make sure you read the terms of the airline or airline broker you book through especially regarding checked luggage fees, luggage weight maximums, etc...
Flight
Dubrovnik has one airport that is 25 minutes outside the old town. There are direct flights into Dubrovnik from the east coast of the United States from major airports like Newark International. Otherwise, you can layover in any major European city. If you are laying over in Europe, you want to have at least 2 hours to get through passport control and transfer to flights. There are a few airports that you will want to have more than 2 hours to get through as they are inefficient, which are: Paris (Charles De-Gaulle), London Heathrow, and Frankfurt. For your return flight home, if you decide to layover or connect through Paris, London, or Frankfurt, we also recommend you have more than 2 hours. If you are to layover or connect in the United States, we HIGHLY discourage you to connect through the following airports: Philadelphia (only if returning to the United States as going through customs in Philadelphia can take hours) or Atlanta (going or returning). If you must, please make sure you have 3+ hours to get through passport control/security they are notorious for long lines and inefficiency.
Travel Note
For getting around Dubrovnik (from the airport to the old town or simply to get around the city outside of the old town), taxi or Uber are the best options. Most cabs take credit card but it is always handy to have some spare Euros in cash on you as well. If you are going to pay with credit card, ask the cab if they take it before getting in. Also, always pay in the local currency when using a credit card. The better exchange rate and lack of currency fees will save you a good bit of money. As a note, 95% of locals speak English! For getting around Dubrovnik (in the old town), walking is the best and only option (no cars are allowed into the old town)! The old town holds 95% of all the restaurants, bars, clubs, sights, and museums and is only about 1-mile from the start to end, so walking is really a fun and good time. If you are to go to any restaurants just outside the old town walls, you can also walk or grab a cab/uber.
House Or Rental
Both Airbnb and Vrbo are fantastic resources for booking in Dubrovnik, especially old town Dubrovnik. We recommend you book accommodation in the old town or right outside of it as the wedding along with most sight-seeing and restaurants are in the old town and walking distance. You can typically find an entire apartment in and around the old town for $100-200/night. Also, the old town does not allow vehicles so you will need to walk with your luggage into the old town if you do book inside the old town. Please keep in mind when booking an Airbnb that Dubrovnik is a hilly city so you may not want to book something high up in the old town. We recommend you check street view or maps near your potential booking to see how many steps you may need to climb. The old town is where there is the most to see and do, but if you want to just relax and lounge, the Lapad peninsula is much quieter but you will have to catch a bus/cab/uber to the old town.

Valamar Argosy is a sister hotel a little closer to the water at a slightly higher price point. Price Range: $200-250/night.
