Maid of Honor
The bride’s sister and best friend. From making mud cakes in the garden to choosing wedding dresses, she’s been there for all the big moments and the small ones—the groom’s Afrikaans teacher and nerd companion.
Best Man
The Groom’s brother. Master birder 2.0. All-around nature enthusiast who loves to party. The person who gave the Groom his first beer... and his second. Married to Martenique who keeps him on the straight and narrow.
Bridesmaid
A friendship that started in high school and has aged like fine wine. One of the bride’s biggest supporters and the groom’s foremost bride expert. One of the many Occupational therapists who will be attending the wedding. Recently married to the tallest groomsman.
Groomsman
The groom’s number one person to go to when he wants to do something stupid. The tallest groomsman, not that anyone cares about height (except when the bride and groom need a light bulb changed). The life of any party, especially a dress-up. one.
Bridesmaid
One of the Bride’s oldest friends, a journey they’ve walked since primary school. Overall bad influence but in the best way possible. No matter the time of day, she’ll be there. Without her, the groom couldn’t walk, never mind run.
Groomsman
One of the groom’s oldest friends and the one you go to for a great night out. The groom's lawyer so let's hope he never gets into any real trouble... since he would probably be the one who put the groom up to it.
Bridesmaid
One half of the copycat couple, and one of the bride's dearest friends. The one, the bride can always count on for bottomless mimosas. She can get you out of even the stickiest legal situations and has a killer sense of fashion (according to the bride).
Groomsman
The other half of the copycat couple. Smooth talker with the best (or worst) jokes. The groom’s biggest fan and the bride’s biggest competition. He and the groom are undefeated in beer pong at this wedding, and they won't let you forget it...ever!
Mother of the Bride
The bride’s biggest confidante and the best puppy spoiler. She would do anything for her loved ones and introduced the groom to Za’atar bread (his introduction to Lebanese food and new favourite).
Mother of the Groom
The one you turn to get things done. The groom’s biggest supporter and the bubbly supplier in the Stevens and Sorour households.
Father of the Bride
Everyone’s top advisor and the ultimate wine snob. The one that teaches the bride how to be an adult and the groom how to DIY.
Father of the Groom
The groom’s advisor on life and number one wine supplier. The OG birder and the one who fuelled the bride and groom’s love for the bush.
Master of Ceremonies
The third and most favourite Sorour sister. This girl has been a staple in the Sorour household since the bride’s high school years and even lived with the Sorours for a while out of school. Married to Drew and now living in Cape Town. She’s the person anyone would want as their MC.
