Best Man
Brandon and Jake lived together in college and in NYC. With similar tastes and preferences for everything, living together and spending time with each other is always effortless. Their similarity has one drawback, however. After countless times showing up somewhere in the same outfit, they had to learn to coordinate before going to any dinner, birthday party, wedding, or other event together. After realizing they had the same bachelor party plans as each other, they decided to just coordinate on that and throw one joint party. Brandon's wedding is a few weeks earlier, where Jake is the best man. Any embarrassing stories Brandon shares in his speech are most likely payback and should therefore be taken with a grain of salt.
Maid of Honor
Talia and Lindsey went to college together at Penn, but first met halfway around the world in Botswana where they quickly realized that they were "two peas in a pod". They were roommates during an international summer internship program, and traveled around southern Africa together to Cape Town and Victoria Falls. Lindsey and Talia enjoyed living together so much that they decided to be roommates during their senior year of college. Unbeknownst to Lindsey, Talia was also friends with Jake and eventually introduced them when Lindsey moved to New York City after graduation.
Groomsman
Dan was Jake's "little brother" in their college fraternity. Along with Talia (one of Lindsey's Maids of Honor), Dan is credited with introducing Jake and Lindsey. For Jake and Lindsey's second date, Dan forced them to watch the worst movie ever created while promising until the end that "it gets better." He redeemed himself, however, by being a great roommate and overall fun person to spend time with. Whether it's a late night philosophical debate or an early morning trip to the bagel shop, there is never a dull moment when Dan is around.
Maid of Honor
Megan is Lindsey's favorite (and only) sister. Despite an 8-year age difference, the Higgins sisters have always been close. Lindsey and Megan share a love of Jane Austen, reality TV, board games, and Megan's hair. In addition to serving as Maid of Honor, Megan is a talented musician and will also be making a cameo on stage at the wedding reception!
Groomsman
Tyler and Jake have been friends since 3rd grade. Their summers were spent practically living at each other's house, filled with baseball, swimming, and weekly trips to Six Flags. They spent their high school years in friendly academic competition with each other. Tyler was always the better student, however, so Jake got used to watching Tyler win every Academic Award. The most crushing defeat Jake had to face was when, despite Jake's year-long campaign and dedicated effort, Tyler beat him in the hunt for Shawnee High School's most prestigious Academic Award: Achievement in Physical Education.
Bridesmaid
Heidi and Lindsey became fast friends in Mrs. Hoskins' 4th grade class and have been laughing together ever since. They were the self-appointed co-stars of "Heidi and Lindsey's Cooking Show," which took place in Heidi's kitchen and somehow never quite made it onto TV. Heidi and Lindsey grew up together and were by each other's side for many band and choir competitions, musical theatre performances, calculus quizzes, and late night cookie deliveries.
Groomsman
Shaun and Jake met in college, but became close after graduation when they lived together for three years. Shaun's infectious happiness and positivity, coupled with his unique and creative perspective on the world makes him so fun to be around. Shaun is one of the luckiest people you will ever meet - things have a way of working out perfectly when he is around, regardless of how improbable. Lindsey and Jake are excited to have Shaun and his luck on their side during the wedding!
Bridesmaid
Dana and Lindsey met during 5th grade band when they sat next to each other in the trumpet section. They somehow became friends despite know-it-all Lindsey complaining that Dana was "messing her up" by playing the wrong notes. Dana initially (and rightfully) hated Lindsey, but by 7th grade they were dancing around the band room together during trumpet lessons and have liked each other ever since. Even though Dana and Lindsey will now both be married, Dana will always be Lindsey's "other half" (sorry Jake and Mitch!).
Groomsman
David is Jake's brother-in-law. Jake and David share a love of food and cooking. At family events, Jake always appreciates David's willingness to concoct a complex and delicious menu. Jake is especially grateful for the opportunity to eat David's restaurant-quality meat dishes - a rare opportunity for both of them thanks to their vegetarian other halves! David and Jake also enjoy skiing and competitively playing board games together.
Bridesmaid
Steph is Jake's sister, and Lindsey's future sister-in-law. Lindsey and Steph have bonded over vegetarian cuisine (Steph makes the only salads Lindsey will eat aside from Sweetgreen), SoulCycle, wine and cheese, and an admiration of Kaitlyn Bristowe. As the oldest of four siblings, Lindsey is excited to finally have the cool older sister she always dreamed of.
Groomsman
Nick is Lindsey's brother, one of Jake's future brothers-in-law. Jake and Nick have shared many good times over golf (even though Jake's score is nearly twice as high as Nick's), whiskey tasting, stand-up comedy shows, boating, and late-night trips to the casino. Jake is excited to have somebody always up for spontaneous plans at future family gatherings!
Groomsman
Ryan is Lindsey's youngest sibling, another one of Jake's future brothers-in-law. Ryan and Jake are both the youngest in their families, something that helps them understand each other well despite an 11-year age gap. Ryan was only 13 when he and Jake first met, but that didn't stop Jake from trying his best to beat Ryan at video games, basketball, or chess. Despite his best efforts, Jake still frequently loses to Ryan in all competitive events.
