Canmore is about a hour and twenty minutes from YYC, we highly recommend securing a rental car as soon as you can since they book up quickly in the summer (Our wedding is going to be a long Weekend for Canada Day so really act fast on the rental!). As an alternative, you can use the Banff Airporter Shuttle (https://banffairporter.com/) to take you straight from Calgary to Canmore, however, the sights and hikes in the area are a lot easier to get to when you have a rental.
