Flight
For those flying to France there are multiple options dependent on your departure city. Paris is usually a good option for those coming from the U.S. Bordeaux may be an option if you are flying from other places in Europe. Airport 1 (Paris then train to Bordeaux): Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Airport 2 (Bordeaux direct): Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport
Train
An easy way to get to the infamous wine-region of France, Bordeaux, is to hop on the fast train (TGV). We recommend booking your train tickets approx. 2-3 months in advance for best pricing and to ensure a seat! The train station in Bordeaux is called "Bordeaux St Jean". The fast train is about a 2 hour journey from Paris and drops you off just outside of the main city-center.
Travel Note
For all other transportation you may need throughout your stay there are taxis available. Ride share app options: - Bolt is a more commonly used ride share app in the area - Uber is also readily available but likely more expensive than Bolt Please keep in mind the Chateau is just out side of the main city of Bordeaux so Ubers may take longer to arrive.
