We will obviously have our children there for the ceremony, but they won’t stay for most of the reception! All kids are welcome to attend the ceremony. We ask that children not attend the reception unless you work something out with us. We can also help you get childcare for your kids during the reception! Obviously we love your kids, but we also want to hang out with our friends without distractions!
Please RSVP by August 1, 2019
If you want to bring a date that wasn't included on the invitation, please ask us first so we can make sure have room for them!
If you don't want to stay at the resort, we have also listed some additional hotels which are less expensive and fairly close by. All of the alternative hotels listed on the travel page will require you to take a taxi to and from the wedding venue, however they are less expensive and some are right on the beach. No hard feelings if you choose a less expensive option for your lodging! They also have vacation rentals (Airbnb etc) that can be found in Manuel Antonio.
We don't recommend a rental car. If you are staying in the local area, most tourism companies include transport in their prices. If you plan to travel the country, it is still easier to take public buses or shuttles. Also, driving in Costa Rica can be an exciting experience for someone from the US (and not in the best way). If you have never driven in a foreign country we don't recommend. However, if you are familiar with driving in foreign countries feel free to give it a shot!
Yes, there is parking at the hotel.
No, the wedding ceremony and reception will take place in the hotel, with views of the beach. There is a small beach located next to the hotel that you can visit during/after/before the ceremony! Maybe we will even take the after party to the beach!
Not specifically. Just come looking beautiful.
The ceremony will start at 4pm. Recommend you are seated by 345pm.
Yes, please annotate on your RSVP if you have a food allergy so we can pass it along to the caterer.
The ceremony will take place on November 9, and the welcome event will take place on November 8. We recommend you arrive by November 8 in the morning if you want to attend the welcome dinner, however we won’t hold against you if you don’t have time to attend! We will offer several shuttles which will go directly from the airport to the hotel. Please RSVP for the shuttle with the requested info on the RSVP page. The shuttle is 2.5 hours (60miles). If you plan to transport yourself, keep in mind that you will need to take a taxi from the airport to the bus stop. A 3.5 direct bus to Quepos, and then a taxi to the hotel.
The shuttle will pick up from SJO airport and take you to the hotel. If you would like to take the shuttle, please RSVP with your arrival time, airline, and the names of everyone who needs transportation. Currently we plan to have a shuttle on Wednesday Nov 7 around 3pm and 8pm and Thursday Nov 8 around 3 pm and 8 pm. We will also add a shuttle on Friday if necessary. We will finalize the shuttle departure times based on the flight times of guests. Each shuttle will take a group of 6-10 guests.
Ok maybe you weren’t wondering. But to help you out, in Costa Rica tips are not expected. You don’t need to tip your taxi driver, waiter, or any service staff.
