Where exactly is Tierra Learning Center/Retreat Center?
Answer
Tierra Retreat Center's address is 12000 Sunitsch Canyon Rd. Leavenworth, WA 98826. 5 miles north of Leavenworth on the Chumstick Hwy. Sunitsch Canyon Rd is a signed turn off between mile post 5 and 6 on the Chumstick Highway. After crossing the railroad tracks continue driving up the valley, alongside the open fields. The road rounds a bend with the large red homestead barn visible beyond the garden house. This marks the lower, Tierra Learning Center campus. We will be in the upper Tierra Retreat Center campus. Follow the curving road farther up valley to the Guest Parking for the Retreat Center.

What should I wear?
Answer
Friday: Mountain Casual (essentially, the outdoorsy version of business casual or what you would wear out to a nice dinner in Sun Valley) Saturday: Semi-Formal Sunday: Very casual We recommend comfortable shoes (wedges or flat heels) for the whole weekend, but especially for the short trek along the dirt trail to the ceremony site. Don't forget your warm layers for the outdoor ceremony and dinners on both evenings! A rain jacket or umbrella would be smart too. Fall weather in North Central Washington could mean 70's and sunny OR 50's and rainy (or a mix of both) so make sure to check the weather report and plan accordingly. Regardless it will cool down in the evenings. Down jackets are totally acceptable at any point in the weekend when needed.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony will begin at 4 PM but we suggest arriving between 3:15 - 3:30 to park and walk to the amphitheater. Of course, feel free to come earlier!

Are kids welcome?
Answer
Yes! Tierra Learning Center is very family friendly with a big open field, basketball court, and several easy hiking trails around the property. We will have 2 babysitters on-site from 6:45 PM until about 11:45 PM (we will announce at dinner when they've arrived) to hang out with kids who want to play in the game and movie room in the Main Lodge. This cozy room has couches, cushions, a variety of family movies, foosball, board games, art supplies, and puzzles.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes, there is a large parking lot located between the meadow (location of Welcome Dinner) and the Main Lodge (location of Reception). The entrance to the amphitheater, where the ceremony will be, is on the right side of the Main Lodge.
Question
Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
We have not coordinated transportation to and from the ceremony since folks are staying all over the Leavenworth-Plain area. Please designate a sober driver or reserve a taxi (well in advance!) at http://www.leavenworthshuttle.com/. The Chumstick Highway is a two-way highway and windy - please be careful on your way home!
