Maid of Honor
Rebecca's older sister (by blood) and soon-to-be sister-in-law (by marriage). Her best friend (by choice). They share DNA, two last names, a shoe size (conveniently) and lots of memories from Cherry Hill/Belvoir/Columbia and beyond.
Best Man
Scott's older brother (by blood) and soon-to-be brother-in-law (by marriage). They're trivia competitors, cocktail collaborators, pop culture aficionados, and most of the time, the only people who laugh at each other's jokes.
Bridesmaid
Ben's wife, Scott's sister, and Julian and Ruthie's mommy, who has always made Rebecca feel like a part of the fam. Not married to a Fisher, but we love her nonetheless.
Groomsman
Rachel's husband, Scott's brother-in-law, Julian and Ruthie's dad. Known to steal hats and introduce himself as "Dave" or "Jerry."
Bridesmaid
Rebecca's best friend of 15 years. They met as campers at Belvoir and remain just as close! Jess loves birthdays and gluten-free ice cream, and has THE BEST memory. Just don't ask her to share embarrassing stories of Rebecca from ages 12-16.
Groomsman
Eric and Scott are friends from high school and college. Once upon a time, when Eric had a permanent address, Eric and Scott were roommates in D.C. (Thanks, Eric, for feeding Scott that year!) Eric has been known to crash weddings, but was actually invited to this one.
Bridesmaid
Rebecca's best friend from Belvoir and later college roommate. She and Rebecca share a love of women's history, musical theater, traveling Europe, and Gilmore Girls, so they never run out of things to talk about!
Groomsman
Ari and Scott are also friends from high school and college. Ari loves dogs, bears, dogs that look like bears, and math, though none of those things will be at the wedding. Ari is always down for a nice cocktail and a big plate of barbecue.
Bridesmaid
Rebecca's high school bestie, from Homeroom B140 where they sat next to each other as freshmen, to the Belles of East, to college in NYC. Known to bake great cupcakes and successfully navigate a Kate Spade sale.
Groomsman
Joe and Scott have been inseparable friends since first grade at Joseph D. Sharp Elementary School, though they are now unfortunately separated by about 2,000 miles. Joe is the tallest and quietest member of the wedding party, but also the most debaucherous. He's the best writer Scott knows and enjoys spice on his slice.
Bridesmaid
Rebecca's "little" from Sigma Delta Tau who treats Rebecca like a sister even though she has a real-life twin! Elena is a trusted confidante who always reminds her biggie to have a little more fun. Also a proud University of Michigan fan (Go Blue!)
Groomsman
Ajay and Scott became friends in the Beck Middle School band. Fun fact, Ajay came in third place after Scott (first) and Rebecca (second) in the Beck Geography Bee. Ajay is a jazz aficionado, a ping pong champion, and a Harvard man. Regretfully, Ajay's beagle Lily cannot attend the wedding and sends her regards.
Bridesmaid
Rebecca's former coworker and one of her first friends in D.C.! Emma gives the best life advice, whether over the phone or over pink tea. Emma is conveniently engaged to Scott's former roommate, Aman, which makes for fun couples' trips for the four of them!
Groomsman
Aman and Scott briefly met at the New Jersey Boys State in 2012—a weeklong conference for the coolest kids in the state—and reconnected at GW as freshmen. Scott took pity on Aman because he donned a gel-slicked faux hawk and they became fast friends. Aman, Eric, and Scott once lived together—a union that could only be disrupted by the ceiling caving in during final's week.
Bridesmaid
Rebecca's former coworker and fellow lawyer-to-be who never fails to respond to Rebecca's panicked texts about law school and wedding planning. She's always there for a pep talk and perhaps more importantly, the perfect Instagram.
Groomsman
Kenny, known to his friends as "Kenneth J.," met Scott through college Model UN, which is definitely not nerdy. Kenny and Scott bond over their shared passions: Family Feud, Allbirds, and, most recently, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Kenny is always down to chauffeur Scott around D.C. and, crucially, meet up for Thai food at a moment's notice.
