Yes, please let us know with your RSVP if you have a food allergy or other dietary request, and we will work with the chef to ensure your meal is modified to meet your needs.
Please take your seats no later than 6:45pm as the ceremony will start promptly at this 7:00pm. Let's maximize the partying and stay on schedule!
We recommend tuxedos and formal gowns. Take this as your excuse to dress festively for the evening—glitz and glam encouraged! The "optional" part means that we don't care what you wear as long as you're on the dance floor!
Please see the "Travel" tab of our website for more information about hotel room blocks. Washington D.C. has many hotels and other accommodations, so please feel free to stay wherever you feel most comfortable.
The weather in D.C. in December is unpredictable at best. The wedding ceremony and reception will be fully indoors, though we will have an outdoor option for cocktail hour if weather permits. We will also provide a coat check at the venue hotel.
Uber/Lyft and public transportation are your best bets for traveling to the venue. There are metered street parking spots in the area surrounding the hotel. Valet parking is also available for a fee at the Fairmont Hotel D.C.
The Fairmont Hotel D.C. has an in-house salon, Birds and Fellows. Visit their website, www.birdsandfellowsdc.com or give them a call at 202-730-0777 to book. Otherwise, we recommend Drybar (Georgetown location is closest to the venue). You can book online at www.DrybarShops.com. Rebecca also loves using Priv or GlamSquad (book on their respective apps—they come to you!) Other nearby salons include: Georgetown Salon Spa, Izzy Salon, and Varnish Lane.
Black! Rebecca once showed up to a wedding wearing the exact same color as the bridesmaids—bright blue—so she always asks this question. However, we know that black is a popular dress color for this time of the year, so wear whatever you feel great in!
We love your kids and wish we could allow them to celebrate with us, but our wedding will be adults-only. Kids are welcome at our Sunday brunch! If you are traveling with your children to D.C., we can assist with arranging babysitting services at the venue hotel, as needed. We hope you can enjoy the night off and party 'til the ball drops!
We sincerely hope to celebrate with all of our guests as planned on December 31, 2022! Based on current CDC guidelines and local D.C. recommendations, our venue is prepared to help us have an enjoyable, safe event. Your health is our utmost priority. If you feel unwell, please do not feel obligated to attend the wedding. If you have been exposed to COVID-19, are in quarantine, or awaiting test results, we kindly ask you do not attend.
