Read about our love story below.
Our story begins many years before...about 7 years earlier to be exact. We met in 2011 when we were both young high school kids in Mr. Hendrick's study hall class. We instantly connected. We kind of lost touch and would rekindle on and off for the next couple of years. It was one of those dumb high school relationships that nobody can seem to figure out. I can't really explain just how much of an impact the summer after graduation had on our relationship but what I can say is that something happened between us and we have been inseparable since. People are always so quick to say that relationships will end after high school. I get it, everyone moves on to a new school and have a new cool college image to uphold and protect. That did not happen with us. If anything we grew closer. We have watched and contributed to each others growth as individuals and have overcome a lot of trials, disappointments, sadness, sickness, and heartache only to come out stronger. I don't know what else the future has in store for us but we are excited to take it on as Mr. & Mrs.
Zach never was good at the whole buying gifts thing plus he is AWFUL at keeping secrets so he so he stopped trying and instead we started to take a Christmas vacation every year. This year was different than all of he previous years only because this time I had been expecting a ring...really, everyone had been expecting it. After 4 years together, never wavering, and 7 years total, we knew we were going to be together forever. We spent a very romantic week at the ChulaVista Spa Resort in Wisconsin Dells. On night one, I could tell Zach was getting very nervous and jumpy and just as I was finishing up getting ready for dinner, I turned around from the vanity in our room to Zach down on one knee. In his hand he had the most beautiful diamond ring I have ever seen (Granted, I did pick it out). Something about the ring though... looked so much better when he was asking me to be his wife. A lot of other wonderful things were said, I'm sure, but I don't remember any of it but saying yes and crying the happiest of tears. We spent the rest of the weekend discussing the rest of our lives together- the wedding, buying a house, pets, children- all while enjoying eachothers company, He's my very best friend and my one true love!
