Spend time exploring 1,100 acres of horticultural splendor, intricate fountain systems, architectural grandeur, and so much more—all with conservation at the core of its mission. We are members here and promise the Gardens will not disappoint. Highly, highly, highly recommend walking the meadow trail this time of year.
Brandywine Conservancy and Museum of Art
Not only does the Brandywine Art Museum boast iconic pieces from the Wyeth family, but it also celebrates the Brandywine River through architecture and responsible land stewardship. We considered this for our reception venue but fell in love with the barn.
Kennett Square
Kennett Square is charming town, rich with locally owned businesses, shops, and farm-fresh eateries. The surrounding farms produce ~60% of the country's mushrooms, earning the area its nickname "Mushroom Capital of the World". There are farmer's markets every Friday from 2:00 - 6:00 pm, so check it out and maybe get yourself a mushroom, okay?!
