Bride
Hi! I hope if you are here on this site, you are familiar with us-if not, welcome! My name is Hannah and I am the bride. I am 28 years old and a self-proclaimed insurance nerd. I grew up in Charlotte, N.C. (go Panthers!) and attended East Carolina University. While at ECU, I studied interpersonal communications and Hispanic studies which is why I was able to travel so much throughout college. I moved to Raleigh, N.C. postgrad to pursue a career and live with my best friend Mackenzie. I have lived here since and now own a home with my awesome fiancé in downtown Raleigh with our yellow lab, Lexie. Should you have any questions that aren’t answered on the site, do not hesitate to reach out!
Groom
Hey guys! This is Brendan-but, we won’t pretend he’s the one typing these out. Brendan was raised in Raleigh, N.C. and also attended East Carolina. There he studied marketing and was part of the ECU Honors college. He is currently following in his dads foot steps working in the Pharmaceutical industry and is also pursuing his M.B.A. at LSU. (Geaux Tigahs!) Brendan is a fan as well as a sworn enemy of many teams-depends on how the team plays that day. Lexie and I are two lucky girls and thank our lucky stars that his love for us outranks his admiration of Cajun culture.
Flower Girl
If Hannah pulls this one off, it will be the victory of the decade. This is Lexie our perfect tennis ball chasing girl. If she sees any water, you have about 15 seconds before you hear a splash. She has absolutely no idea she’s a dog and not a human and loves eggs and chicken (popcorn if dad is looking away). We hope Lexie will make an appearance at some point during the weekend, however; mother of the bride is making a huge stink about it for some reason. It’s not because Lexie would jump all over anyone...
Bridesmaid
I will say it again-true blue friends are hard to come by but, nothing sums up Brittany better than that! Britt and I were actually part of the same play group as toddlers and then reconnected in joining our sorority. My mom swears it’s fate because ever since then, we have been inseparable and who is more fun than the Carlin family? Britt is hilarious, and keeps us all grounded. She has previously told me “I had to eventually just not worry about you because you stress me out”. (For reference-this was post being robbed in a foreign country and having no passport) I am so lucky to have her stand by my side and be sure to find her and her family on the dance floor because they are definitely “life of the party” type people!
Bridesmaid
My baby sister who has grown up to become a best friend. It seems like just yesterday my dad pulled off a tarp from our SUV to reveal a bunch of "It's a Girl!" signs and pink balloons. I was elated and had been asking for a sister for quite some time. Haley is the sweetest soul and is truly much cooler than all the 16 year olds I knew-ask her about her vinyl collection. She has the most gracious heart and her older sister's Spanish speaking skills (although she will wait until the night before a test to ask to help her with studying). Haley is a great aunt to her niece puppy, Lexie and is planning to surprise her sister with a rad Harry Styles filled play list at the wedding. We both agreed as long as it's not cheesy line dances-she gets an all clear!
Bridesmaid
Jessie has certainly become one of both Brendan and Hannah’s closest friends! As Lexie’s most favorite aunt, she does not come over to our house empty handed without a dog treat of some sort-hence the favorite part. Whether it’s Lake Gaston, a tap room playing uno, or Jessie and Hannah trailing 100 steps behind Matt and Brendan heading somewhere, we literally just adore spending time with them whenever possible (which is basically every weekend). Jessie has truly one of the biggest hearts and is the best-and I mean best-teacher around. And although we both agree we are taking on much harder to pronounce last names, we love our fiancé’s very much and are eternally grateful for our group of friends here in Raleigh! We are so pumped to hand over the wedding planning baton to you two <3
Bridesmaid
Oh Kelly Ann! Kel and I have been friends since we were 2 years old. Our mothers are also best friends in their self proclaimed “ya-ya” group. Kelly also doubts this but, I swore she didn’t like me in preschool-I have a photo to prove it. We were dressed as angels in our pre-k choir and she is giving me the nastiest side eye-but look where we are today! Kelly is the super, extremely smart and beautiful friend-the one that Maggie and I so lovingly referred to as “the perfect child” growing up (and that’s meant with love). Again, I have been friends with Kelly since before I can remember so, the fact we have remained friends for this long let’s me know how extremely blessed I am to have her in my life and have her standing beside me on my big day. Sorry again, for the drinking ticket.
Matron of Honor
Sometimes soul mates come in the form of best friends! Kenz and I hit it off immediately after receiving bids from our sorority. Mackenzie was a pageant queen, cowboy boot wearing, cheerleader from Greenville and I was like “who the hell is this and why is she wanting to go get our monogram and sorority letters on every tangible item we own?” Fast forward through the years of college and postgrad, and I was blessed to have a home away from home in Greenville and in Raleigh with her. Mackenzie is such a great friend and an amazing wedding planner. 16 hours after being engaged, Kenz had typed me up a spreadsheet with my favorite venues information, brochure and budget list. Mackenzie is a friend who I literally don’t know what I would do without. I am so eternally grateful for her <3
Maid of Honor
Day one, true blue friends are hard to come by but, I am incredibly lucky to have found mine in Mag. We grew up in the same neighborhood and our moms became thick as thieves along with their group of friends the “ya-yas”. Maggie and I attended the same school until I transferred half way through middle school but, the Hill's still couldn't shake me. Mag has been through it all with me-Oreo fights, all the boyfriends, sneaking out, visiting each other in college (some people just can’t hang) and everything else in between! As a fellow lover of red wine, we have spent many nights and weekends together preparing and talking about our future weddings and here we are. There’s no one else I would want to help me plan this exciting time with, and there’s no one with quite her honesty haha!
Bridesmaid
Meredith is the mastermind behind my entire engagement planning/ring selection! Mere and I actually met freshman year of college on our birthdays-yes, you read that correct, we have the same birthday! We were at a Phi Gam party and and we toasted to one another-more or less drank a neon cup of orange party juice made of Tang-yuck. Since then we have celebrated many birthdays side by side (shout out Carolina Cup)! She then moved to NYC after graduation and lived with my other best friends, Taylor and Payge so, I saw her any time I visited. Now that she is back in Raleigh, we are always out and about together, planning weddings, and finding any and all of the red wine to drink. Meredith is an amazing friend and I’m so appreciative of all of her help! She is also getting married this fall <3

If you don’t know Taylor, you will by the end of our wedding weekend because chances are you maybe able to hear her before you see her-she has the best and most contagious laugh! Tay or Tay Cleve or TT even, will ensure this is the party of a lifetime. Tay and I met in college through our sorority and were also roommates our senior year. God bless anyone that had to deal with us at that point because we had THE absolute most fun. Sup swirls, stealing fraternity’s composites (still not sorry about that one) and Sunday morning Summit Street strolls were our favorite past times. Many of our stories would probably be deemed inappropriate here so we will keep it short and sweet. I am so lucky to have a selfless, loving friend like her standing beside me!
Groomsman
As a self proclaimed movie critic, a master baker, and a sports obsessed person, we have become fast yet close friends with Adam. Hannah and Brendan were lucky enough to meet him around the same time during our Glenwood South going-out days (or nights). Adam is considered a true hero because although allergic, he has come through on more than one occasion in watching Lexie for us! Adam is the epitome of patience when it comes to our little family-whether it's Lexie loving on him in his dark jeans or him being compelled to listen to Brendan's "bayou bangers", he's been with us through it all. We are extremely lucky to have Adam as a friend to us both and look forward to many more days and packs of claws with him on the lake.
Groomsman
Truly a friend from the get go, Alec and Brendan met while flipping burgers and lifeguarding at the local pool. Being a little older than Alec, Brendan showed him the ropes throughout high school, then into ECU, and into ATO. They were roommates at the famous “hedge house” aka ATOs party house and I am thankful that none of that furniture made it into my current house. A fellow Eagles fan-or maybe not depending on the day and outcome of the game-Alec is one of the sweetest guys around. We also are very much looking forward to Alec moving close to us soon!
Groomsman
We love to vicariously live through you Ev! Evan is Brendan’s youngest brother and is currently a student at ECU. *side note he will be 21 for the wedding and bachelor party-we were postponing just for you!* He followed in both his brothers footsteps and also joined ATO. Brendan and Hannah enjoy hearing Evans college stories although his slang sometimes throws us for a loop. With a huge heart for our dog Lexie, Evan will most certainly be our future children’s “funcle”. Don’t be fooled by his kind face-mention the word “London Heathrow” around this man and there will be some problems. When arriving fashionably late in Spain, Evan so lovingly told Hannah “and they thought it would be me” hahahah! We are very lucky to have Evan as a brother and can’t wait to continue celebrating.

I can’t type enough to describe the friendship between Matt and Brendan..you just have to know them. It was the second night of college and both were walking down the street searching for parties. Being freshman, they decided to merge the groups they were with and from there, they became the best of friends. A very step brother moment...As an aspiring podcast host or DJ (whichever comes first), Matt is our sports critic and Lexie’s self proclaimed godfather. Another one of Brendan’s former roommates, we have found very best friends in both Matt and his fiancé Jessie. When Matt isn’t keeping up with their two mischievous cats, he is usually with us and Jessie grabbing good food and cocktails on the town. If you need a funny story please ask him about his, Brendan and I’s first date.
Groomsman
If you ever want to be guaranteed a great time-Matt is your go to friend! As one of Brendan’s oldest pals and college freshman room mate (and then some years after) they have been there through it all. From brunching it through Raleigh, country concerts, weddings and bachelor parties, they continue to stay at the top of each other’s lists-literally they did this for quite some time on snap chat. Brendan is the “manager” of Matt and Mikes band, Black Horse Run, and has proven subpar at best-yet Matt still loves him. Matt and his fiancé Jasmine are two of our favorite people and Matt is a 5 star friend in Hannah’s book for helping pull off Brendan’s surprise birthday party-it was no easy feat. Matt is the lead singer in his band and we hope to be able to see them perform soon!
Groomsman
Mike is one of the first friends of Brendans that Hannah got to meet. Fortunately for Hannah, we went to a concert in a large group including the sweetest people ever-Mr. and Mrs. Journigan! They were the only reason she was fed that night since the boy’s did not know how to head count haha! Brendan and Mike met through Matt, Mike’s younger brother. The boys all became extremely tight leading to a few years of being roommates and a leaving behind a couple of trashed apartments. Still to this day, Brendan and Mike have “Bike” nights which can be summed up to a no girls allowed, guys night on the town. When he is not spending time with family and friends Mike can be found playing his guitar for their band, Black Horse Run. We love Mike and are so grateful for his friendship!
Best Man
Nolan is the middle brother of Brendan's family. We often laugh about the stories involving Nolan because he is someone you would label as a smooth talker and can manage his way out of any situation consequence free. Like Hannah, Nolan is also in insurance and they often speak about their daily struggles and the dreaded coverage forms. Hannah met Nolan fairly early on with his long time girlfriend Emily-Emily was in Hannah's sorority and Nolan was in Brendan's fraternity-meant to be, right? While Brendan may not recall, Nolan told Hannah early on she "was way cooler than my brother" something she is still proud of today. Nolan and Emily currently live in Jupiter, F.L. and we miss them dearly. Us seeing them this weekend will definitely be a highlight for the entire family!
Groomsman
Tyler, or Baby T, is Hannahs youngest brother. He will more than likely be irritated at the nick name but, she doesn’t care because he will always be a baby in her eyes. When he’s not on the field being scouted for colleges or working on his awesome flow, he can be found bugging Hannah for a late night Wendy’s run. Tyler took kindly to Brendan when he first met him and lovingly claimed “wow he is so much cooler than you are Hannah”. Both Brendan and Tyler delight in ganging up on Hannah to make fun of her blonde moments...zamboni or bambino...whatever. Despite his constant smack talking on the Eagles and threats to come to Raleigh go only hang out with Brendan and Matt, we are so excited to celebrate with him and thrilled at adding another crazy brother to this group of ours!
Groomsman
Our fun-loving Will is the middle brother of Hannah. Never to short you of a laugh, he will be caught on the dance floor the night of. Famously known at previous weddings for denouncing alcohol while simultaneously double fisting some jack or splitting his pants right down the middle-he’s a self proclaimed “one suit a night kinda guy”. His words not ours! Will is one of the closest people Hannah has ever had in her life and the only one she would sprint through a frat party to the scene of a car accident for in her pajamas at 1am. Will also won the hearts of the Schachle family by eating a BBQ sandwich with two bites in three seconds. We are so excited to have Will stand with us on our big day-AND if anyone sees him watching football on his phone, kindly take it away :)
