On Sunday, December 20, 2020 surrounded by festive Christmas decor, Hannah was laser focused working on her computer at the apartment. Airius asked Hannah to play a song list that she made for him, that included "their song" which is "Better Together" by Luke Combs. Airius waited for that song, and once it played, he came out of the room, knelt before Hannah with Kinsley in his arms while he sang the rest of "their" song to her and then .... asked her to marry him with a beautiful engagement ring in hand!

Hannah and Airius have two different stories of how they met at North Carolina State University. Hannah was recruited to play softball for State and Airius was recruited to play football. Athletes often mingled among some of the same crowds - and that is how they came to know of one another. Hannah's Story: Airius and I were introduced through a mutual friend who played football with Airius at State. One bold evening my roommate, Maggie, and I invited the two over to our apartment for drinks and to get to know them. From that first moment onward, I couldn't get Airius out of my head....so handsome, kind, smart and talented. I think he was impressed with my football skills too :-)! Airius' Story: I went to a gathering at State with several of my fellow teammates - and I saw "her" there! Green eyes, beautiful and quiet but spicy personality! [Hannah said, "Airius did not introduce himself that evening nor make any attempt at getting my attention"]. So from across the room, that is how I was introduced to Hannah.
