Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be walking down the aisle with us!

Madeline Sims

Maid of Honor

Maddy is one of Haley's two younger twin sisters—although she is often thought to be Haley's twin. Maddy has been part of Haley's support system from Day One, so it's only fitting that she is part of the support system on the big day! Maddy wears many hats: style consultant (she's the most fashion forward of the family), confidante, best friend, and now maid of honor. She brings her caring spirit, sense of humor, and wellness expertise as Content Editor at HUM Nutrition to our crew!

Gabrielle Sims

Maid of Honor

The second half of the set of twins, Gabby has not only been just a sibling, but a lifelong friend. A part of the day one squad, it's only fitting she'll join her twin as maid of honor! Based in Salt Lake City, Gabby is constantly doing something - be it engineering, programming, muay-thai, or DJ-ing. Most recently, she spends the bulk of her time working as a Project Manager at the Gas Technology Institute. From the days of swimming together to the days of adulthood (are we really adults?) Gabby brings her smarty-pants, sassy sense of humor, and killer dance moves.

Peyton Arnold

Bridesmaid

Future sister-in-law and incredible friend: From the moment Haley and Peyton met, Peyton has always made Haley feel at home and like a part of her family. This has been especially gratifying since she's so close with Miller. Despite living on opposite sides of the country (Peyton lives in Chattanooga, TN with her husband John, where she spent the last couple of years working as a hospice nurse), Peyton always finds a way to stay connected. Independent, confident, and able to see the positive in any situation, you instantly feel better when Peyton is around.

Dayle Comerford

Bridesmaid

Dayle and Haley met sophomore year of high school through a multi-school leadership club. While spending a week together learning how to be effective leaders, Dayle and Haley also learned about their mutual love of rapping, quoting movies, and breaking it down on the dance floor. Dayle lives in Chicago where she works as a high-powered lawyer for DLA Piper. She may be a bad-a** lawyer, but Dayle lights up any room and is so likable, you're guaranteed to be friends with her by the end of the weekend!

Katie Boisseree

Bridesmaid

Katie and Haley met in undergrad through mutual friends and mutual classes. While single-handedly helping Haley pass every structural engineering class they took together (thanks to study sessions set to the tune of Taylor Swift), Katie became a best friend: always ready to lend an ear, provide support, or pick you up when you're down. When she's not engineering the best buildings in San Francisco with Degenkolb Engineers (although she will soon be departing to pursue her MBA at Berkeley), you can find her and Haley catching live music together.

Hanna Mielke-Maday

Bridesmaid

Friends since the first grade, Haley and Hanna have been friends for OVER 20 years. As a testament to real friendship, Hanna and Haley have remained friends despite Haley eating parts of Hanna’s lunch daily in grade school and living in various places (often on opposite coasts) the last 11 years. While Hanna is excited to escape a couple of night shifts as part of her residency at Rush Hospital in Chicago, we're excited to have her join us with her unwavering sense of self and trademark Hanna dance moves.

Janine Jablonski

Bridesmaid

Friends since sixth grade, Janine holds the high honor of being Haley's first AIM friend (the reason she made an account without her parents' permission). An ex-ballerina, her personality is anything but petite. She is known for her bubbly spirit, love of Gilmore Girls, “say yes” attitude, and caring heart. While always finding a way to get together and catchup when living on opposite coasts, Janine's recent move to the Bay Area to work in Retail Market Development for Apple has allowed for much more frequent get togethers!

Megan McCormick

Bridesmaid

Another member of the 20-year club, Megan has been a lifelong friend. Since grade school - the days of questionable outfits and school performances (ask her about these) - Megan has been an incredibly considerate light in so many people’s lives. Her genuine desire to help others extends through her life - Megan will soon be pursuing a PhD in education, focused on student and community led research. She brings this same sense of caring to other relationships. She’s always armed with the right thing to say, and she has an infectious attitude and laugh. We're so excited to have her as a part of our day.

Maddie Brady

Bridesmaid

Haley and Maddie met later in grade school (sixth grade), but they became fast friends. Cementing their friendship by proclaiming it from atop a tree stump in Haley's front yard, Maddie has been there for Haley over the last 15 years. Even from across the Atlantic Ocean (she got her master's degree in Ireland), Maddie finds a way to show up. She's taken her knack for communication and language and built out her own blog (check it out: postontoast.com), she has also spent the last few years working in PR helping others to craft their communications. Inspiring us with her creative ambitious spirit, we're so glad to have her as part of the crew!

John Arnold

Best Man

John and I have been inseparable since the 6th grade. The brotherhood began on the baseball field in 2006, but was formalized in 2014, when John married my sister Peyton. As a teammate, classmate, and brother-in-law, John exemplifies the rare combination of humility, selflessness, and authenticity that inspires the same in others (though I’m certain he’s cringing while reading this). John is my role-model – his relentless work-ethic and intrinsic human decency have had a more profound impact on the person I am today than he'll ever be willing to admit. John moved to New York with Peyton after Vanderbilt to work in finance, and recently relocated to Chattanooga. In his spare time, John is a voracious reader, film aficionado, and creative writer.

Burke Sims

Groomsman

Future brother-in-law and bonafide globe trotter, Burke is always there to give me and Haley the best recommendations. Whether we’re looking for a restaurant, travel locale, or great book – Burke is usually the answer. Burke was an Econ and History double major at Stanford, and like Haley, a member of the swim team. He went on to get his Masters from the London School of Economics before joining Citi’s investment banking division. After his tour of duty in New York, Burke came back to the Bay for a few years to work in Private Equity at Jasper Ridge Partners. While back in California, the three of us were fortunate to spend quality time in wine country, Lake Tahoe, and enjoying the city of San Francisco together. Burke is currently working in Santa Monica with Stockdale Capital Partners.

Brian Keller

Groomsman

John and I joke that we had to force Brian to be friends with us – which is absolutely true. By 9th grade, we’d worn down his defenses and won the favor of his mom, who instead invited us over. Brian’s basement was a second home. As we floundered through high school, the countless weekends spent playing games, watching movies, and avoiding sleep were the true antidote to adolescent angst, which Brian was somehow impervious to. As the natural listener and peacemaker in our group, it’s only fitting that upon graduating Wake Forrest, Brian decided to pursue his Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). While finishing his program, Brian is currently working with patients inside the Kentucky prison system – a challenge no sane person is prepared for, but one that he carries out with unrivaled compassion.

Tyler Eaton

Groomsman

As two of the chubbiest kids in middle school, Tyler and I forged our friendship while enduring the misery of blocking alongside each other on the offensive line. By the time we were seniors, we’d migrated our brotherhood from the cafeteria to the weight room. Tyler is the most fiercely loyal of friends and has always been there to help share the load. His witticisms are something behold and his laid back nature is a powerful reminder that no matter what, the world keeps spinning. Upon getting his CPA, Tyler moved to Denver where he covered REITs for PWC’s tax department. In the midst of the pandemic, he relocated to the Cayman Islands to endure the abuse of tax season in slightly better weather. Tyler stays sane by making time for outdoor activities and live music.

Kalani Nakashima

Groomsman

Kalani and I were randomly assigned as freshmen roommates in college. On move in day, it took all of 60 seconds to recognize that this was a profound stroke of good fortune. A remarkable guitarist and story teller, Kalani is the perfect person to have around any campfire. As the oldest of 5, he is an anchor for his family and never struggles to keep peace in the valley. The way that Kalani experiences the world is contagious, I’ve never known anyone to balance the demands in their life so effortlessly. Having graduated from Stanford with Honors, Kalani worked at a hospital in Southern California for a couple of years before heading off to medical school at University of Saint Louis, where he currently is completing his studies.

Dan Nelsen

Groomsman

Dan and I also met in our freshmen dorm. I declined pleas to join him on the Rugby team, but still tried to keep up with him on those assigned workouts. Having both attended all-male high schools, we bonded quickly. The yin to my yang, Dan is a well-spring of enthusiasm and energy. As one of the few people who can strike a perfect balance between giving it your all and not taking it too seriously, Dan is an excellent teacher. A former ski instructor, Dan took me from “pizza and french fry” to double blacks and coached my golf game from laughable to… marginally less laughable. Dan lives in Indianapolis and is putting his MS in Civil & Environmental engineering to use leading sales and marketing at BioSAFE Engineering.

Chad Kamisugi

Groomsman

I mean no offense to anyone else on this page (nor to you reading at home), but Chad is undoubtedly the nicest person alive. If you don’t believe me, find him at the wedding to experience the magic that pours out of this human being. Chad and I roomed together our senior year, where we co-parented our snake named Manasa. Hailing from Oahu, Chad embodies the soul of Hawaiian island life. Possessing the most genuine of smiles, an unadulterated passion for the beauty of nature, and a heart as big as the Pacific, Chad is a born caretaker and a cultivator of wisdom far surpassing his years. Chad recently left a strategic marketing position at Box to join LinkedIn’s sales department and lives during the pandemic, relocated back home to Oahu with his family.

Thomas Day

Groomsman

Thomas and I grew up less than 150 miles from each other in TN, but met the year after college when he moved to the Bay for his gap years before medical school. We moved in together out of happenstance, but it was immediately obvious that this guy was special – in every sense of the word. Thomas is a renaissance man. Having triple majored in Religion, Music, and Biology at Washington & Lee University, you’re bound to walk away from any conversation with him enriched and expanded. And that’s before you even realize his voice and talent on the piano and guitar are otherworldly. Thomas, who is always quick to remind me (rightfully so) that Haley is out of my league, completed his MD at Vanderbilt and is now a resident at Boston's Children Hospital.

Aaron Sekhri

Groomsman

I met Aaron in a class sophomore year when we were assigned to spend 15 minutes preparing a dramatic reading. To our professor’s dismay, we went off-piste and chose a scene from The Dark Knight: “Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we’ll hunt him…” I knew we were going to be great friends when we both kept straight faces whilst insisting our selection had been layered and nuanced. Aaron can brighten the most somber of moods, recall every inside joke I've forgotten, and make me feel heard when I know I’m spewing nonsense. Aaron and his wife Alex have been our favorite double date partners – we love spending late nights solving the world’s (and none of our own) problems together. Based in New York, Aaron currently works as a Product Manager for TikTok.
