As of 03/17/22, the County of Sonoma in keeping with requirements from the California Department of Public Health is NOT requiring masks to be worn in all public, indoor spaces. With this said INDIVIDUAL BUSINESSES MAY CHOOSE WHETHER OR NOT TO REQUIRE THIS. As such, please keep a mask handy so that if necessary you will be prepared in the following places: - Hotels - Restaurants (when not actively eating or drinking) - Shuttles to and from the ceremony At this time, masks are not required for outdoor activities and we will have no specific requirements for the wedding and reception. Some events are of an indoor/outdoor nature - such as the post wedding brunch and the after party. We strongly advise keeping a mask on hand in case it is necessary to wear this indoors (such as in the hotel lobby or in a restroom). We’re asking for everyone’s help in keeping our event compliant by remembering to bring a mask and ensuring that noses and mouths are completely covered when wearing it. We'll have some extras on hand in case anyone forgets or misplaces a mask. We completely understand that this is not ideal - we're all experiencing fatigue with being prepared for anything. That said, we hope you are able to join us in taking minor inconveniences in stride so we can all celebrate together!
If anyone starts feeling unwell at any time during the weekend, we'll have a limited number of rapid tests on hand so that we can ensure everyone can stay safe. Please do let Jan or Dave Sims know if you are experiencing this and we will help assist. A few other precautions we highly recommend taking so no one ends up in this situation include: - Limiting potential exposure where possible leading up to the weekend (i.e. not going to big group gatherings or indoor events like concerts, bars, or parties) - Traveling with an N95 mask
Please check the "Schedule" page for descriptions of suggested attire. Some general tips to note is that it will be very hot in Healdsburg during the day in June and many of our events are outdoors. The reception itself is entirely outdoors and the ground is entirely grass and gravel. As such, we'd suggest choosing attire and footwear that can handle heat and grassy or gravel spaces. While it's hot during the day, it is also quite cool in the evening, so be sure to bring a light jacket for after sunset!
We will be providing shuttles to and from the venue, our main hotels (where we have room blocks - Hotel Trio and the Hampton Inn and Suites), and the after party venue throughout the day/night on June 4th. For all other events, we will not be providing transportation. We've been advised that Ubers are sporadically available in Healdsburg. Please check the "Travel" page for more information. We are in the process of finalizing our shuttle schedule. Once this is available, we will post it on a dedicated page and also provide email information which will let you know where and when to gather to be able to use the shuttle.
We ask that you RSVP online and also by paper mail if you so desire. We appreciate everyone taking the time to RSVP by one or both mediums. We just ask you let us know which events you will be attending, as there are several in addition to the wedding ceremony and reception.
We will be serving a family style dinner at the reception. We will have meat, vegetarian, and vegan options available. If you have any specific dietary restrictions please let us know! Either reach out to Jan Sims at 708-997-4189 or Haley at 630-200-1955 letting us know of any allergies, restrictions, or dietary needs we should relay on to our caterer.
