Transportation to your hotel from the airport and back can be coordinated by your hotel. Alternatively, you can take a taxi, or the bus. Please do not plan on relying on ride share for transportation.

Traveling to Santorini
Traveling from the U.S. to Santorini requires some planning, as there are no direct flights from the U.S. to the island. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you navigate your journey: ⸻ ✈️ Flight Options 1. Via Athens: The most common route is to fly into Athens International Airport (ATH), which is well-connected to major U.S. cities. From Athens, you can take a short domestic flight to Santorini International Airport (JTR), with a flight time of approximately 40 minutes. 2. Via European Hubs: Alternatively, you can fly from the U.S. to major European cities like London, Paris, Frankfurt, or Rome, and then catch a direct flight to Santorini. This option might be convenient if you’re planning to explore another European city en route. ⸻ ⛴️ Ferry Options If you prefer a scenic route, consider taking a ferry from Athens’ Piraeus Port to Santorini. The journey takes about 5 to 8 hours, depending on the ferry type. High-speed ferries are faster but more expensive, while conventional ferries offer a leisurely experience with amenities like restaurants and decks to enjoy the Aegean Sea views.
