Things To Do

Hike Skaros Rock

Hike Skaros Rock

Imerovigli, 847 00, Greece

For a little adventure with a big payoff, hike out to Skaros Rock in Imerovigli. It’s not a hard walk, but bring good shoes and water! This is where we took our engagement photos. The views are absolutely worth it. You’ll see the caldera, ocean, and cliffs from a totally different angle.

Blue Domed Church Santorini

Blue Domed Church Santorini

Oia, 847 02, Greece

If you've seen photos of Santorini, you've probably seen the iconic blue-domed churches! Yes, they’re just as stunning in real life. Head to Oia for the classic view, where the white buildings and blue domes sit right on the cliff overlooking the sea. It’s the perfect spot for a little sightseeing, snapping some amazing photos, and just taking in the beauty of the island.

Hike from Fira to Oia

Fira, 847 00, Greece

One of the most iconic experiences in Santorini is the hike from Fira to Oia. This scenic cliffside trail takes you along the caldera with breathtaking views at every turn: whitewashed villages, deep blue water, and postcard-perfect landscapes. The full walk takes about 2–3 hours, depending on your pace, and ranges from easy to moderately challenging with some hills and uneven paths. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, bringing water and sunscreen, and starting in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat. You can begin the walk right from Fira and end in Oia, where you can reward yourself with a cold drink, a bite to eat, or a famous Oia sunset before taking a bus or taxi back. It’s a beautiful and memorable way to see the island, and we highly recommended if you're up for a little adventure!

Brusco

Eparchiaki Odos Pirgou Kallistis - Profiti Ilia, Pirgos Kallistis, 847 00, Greece

Favorite dishes: Apaki chicken, Sfakiani Pita Our first lunch spot we ate at when we traveled to Santorini for our pre-wedding trip in April 2025. Brusco is a cozy wine bar in Pyrgos that serves delicious local wines and small bites. It’s perfect for a laid-back afternoon or early evening. Think great drinks, good vibes, and a charming little terrace to relax on.

Vothonaki

Vothonas, 847 00, Greece

Favorite dishes: Hünkârbeğendi, Bouyourdi Off the beaten path in Vothonos. This was a recommendation by our planner and it ended up being one of our favorite dinners in Santorini. Requires a rental car to travel. Unlike Pyrgos, Megalochori, or Imerovigli, there is not a "town square" to walk around/explore before and after dinner. It truly is a small island town, but the food is well worth the travel!

Venetsanos Winery

Santorini Island, 847 00, Greece

Built in 1947 by the Venetsanos family and the first industrial winery on the island. Enjoy your favorite wine with beautiful views of the Aegean Sea!

The Vine Cocktail & Wine Restaurant

The Vine Cocktail & Wine Restaurant

2 Ipapantis, Thira, 847 00, Greece

If you’re in Fira and want a spot with drinks and a view, The Vine is a great pick. It’s a restaurant with a great selection of local wines, cocktails, and small bites. The atmosphere is romantic, and if you can grab a table on the balcony, the sunset views are beautiful. Perfect for a chill evening in town.

Akrotiri Lighthouse

847 00, Greece

The Lighthouse was built in 1892 by a French trading company. A 26 minute drive from Fira, on the southwest tip of the island. It still is operational! We have not been ourselves, but have seen it by boat. It's on our list of places to visit during our wedding week! While you're there, you can also visit the Ancient Ruins of Akrotiri.

Kamari Black Pebble Beach

Greece

Kamari has a long stretch of black pebble beach with clear water, sun beds, and a relaxed vibe. There are plenty of beach bars and tavernas nearby if you want to grab a drink or a bite while you hang out by the sea. This is the town we stayed in during our first trip to Santorini in 2019. It’s a great place to kick back and enjoy a different side of the island!

Ammoudi Fish Tavern

Ammoudi Bay, Santorini, Oia, Ammoudi, 847 02, Greece

Ammoudi Fish Tavern is one of the best spots on the island for fresh seafood and unbeatable views. Located right on the water in Ammoudi Bay below Oia, it’s known for dishes like grilled octopus and whole fish caught daily. To get there, you can walk down about 300 steps from Oia (just be sure to wear comfortable shoes) or drive or taxi down to the bay. The setting is especially beautiful at sunset, so we highly recommend making a reservation in advance to secure a good table.
