It all started at Oak Park & River Forest High School...with a Freshman year friendship full of geometry homework help, antics in AP biology, and some sentimental yearbook entries that were a sign of what was to come. By 2010 that friendship had turned into a high-school fling that "flung" a lot farther than anyone imagined...from prom, to a semi-long distance college relationship, to adulthood in Chicago, to a 2022 wedding that will make the "high school sweetheart" designation official.

In Fall 2020 we took a much-needed vacation to the Smoky Mountains and Asheville, North Carolina that combined James' love of camping, hiking and breweries, with Sarah's love of exploring new cities and staying in Airbnb's that keep you out of the rain. The big adventure came on the last day with a climb up Mount Sterling for backcountry camping. At the top, James got down on one knee to accompany the amazing views with an amazing moment we will never forget. We are so excited to return to Asheville to re-visit that memory and create new ones on our wedding day!
