Famed home of the Indy 500, the IMS is a staple of Indianapolis. Tours of the track and the museum are available through their website. While the speedway is not located in downtown Indy, it is not too far and is worth the trip.
Leslie and Grant live in the Broad Ripple area of Indianapolis. It is a very fun, young part of town with lots of great places to eat and drink. Walking through the gardens of the Indianapolis Art Center is a great way to spend some time, and you can follow that up by getting a drink or a bite to eat at Sunking Brewery.
Right across the street from the boutique Bottleworks Hotel, is a new food hall with local eats and gourmet treats! Both the Bottleworks Hotel and The Garage Good Hall are new attractions in Indy--perfect for groups with not a ton of time, and who can't decide where they want to eat lunch!
Our beloved Monument Circle is the true heart of Downtown Indianapolis. Often filled with life on the lunch hour or during one of the many events that happen year round, it's truly a must-see for anyone visiting the Circle City. Check out the observation deck at the top of Soldiers and Sailors Monument! Monument Circle is walkable from many of the hotels in downtown Indy.
While you may not know it, Indianapolis actually has a great zoo! The zoo is located in downtown Indianapolis and can provide a fun escape for people of all ages! The dolphin show and White River Gardens are "must sees!"
