A Texas native, Leslie moved to Indianapolis in 2016 after living in Lexington, Kentucky to fulfill her career goals of working in higher education and fraternity/sorority life. Grant moved to Indianapolis from his hometown in Long Beach, California in 2014 to pursue a career working at his fraternity, Phi Sigma Kappa. After a few years at her first job in Indy, working for a sorority's headquarters, Leslie advanced her career by accepting an offer at Phi Sigma Kappa. They first met during Leslie's interview at Phi Sigma Kappa, where Grant took her to lunch as someone who would be her counterpart. After a few months as coworkers, Grant and Leslie started developing feelings at the Fraternity's annual conference. A few weeks later, they knew they were in love. After keeping it a secret from their boss for six weeks, they came clean to everyone at work and the rest is history. G & L love traveling together, doing puzzles, reading (typical old souls), and spending time with family. Their biggest hobby and money-suck is eight-year-old Franklin the pug, who Grant gladly accepted as a packaged deal with Leslie. In the first few months of dating, G & L noticed how much they had in common, including their love for the Kentucky Wildcats, dislike for tomatoes, skepticism for social media, participation in cotillion during their teenage years, introverted personalities, and love for raw cookie dough.
