Guests traveling by air should plan to fly into Athens International Airport (ATH), Greece’s main international airport. The airport is approximately 30–45 minutes by car from the Athens Riviera, depending on traffic and final destination. Athens International Airport is well connected with direct flights from many major European cities, as well as seasonal and year-round direct flights from North America. For guests traveling from elsewhere, connecting through a major European hub is often the easiest option. We recommend booking flights a few months in advance for international travel, as September remains a busy travel season in Greece. Some guests may require a visa to enter Greece. We recommend beginning the visa application process up to 6 months in advance and booking travel only after your visa has been issued, as processing times and outcomes may vary. Please refer to the Visa Information section below for details.

Visa Information
Greece is part of the Schengen Area. Whether you need a visa depends on your nationality and passport. Visa not required: Passport holders from the U.S., Canada, U.K., EU, Australia, and many other countries may enter Greece for short stays (up to 90 days) without a visa. Visa required: Guests holding passports from countries such as China, India, and other non-Schengen-exempt countries will need to apply for a Schengen short-stay (tourist) visa in advance. Please note: A U.S. Green Card or U.S. visa does NOT waive Schengen visa requirements. Visa eligibility is determined by passport nationality. For example, guests traveling on a Chinese passport will still need to hold a Schengen short-stay visa to enter Greece, even if they hold a U.S. Green Card or valid U.S. visa. When should I apply? We strongly recommend applying as early as possible, as appointment availability and processing times vary by country. Applications can generally be submitted up to 6 months before travel. Most visas are processed within 15–30 days, but delays can occur, especially during peak travel season Where do I apply? Visa applications are typically submitted through the Greek embassy, consulate, or an authorized visa center in your country of residence. Helpful tips: Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. You may be asked to provide proof of accommodation, return flights, and travel insurance. Please check official embassy or consulate websites for the most up-to-date requirements Need help? Where to Stay
The wedding weekend will take place along the Athens Riviera, a scenic stretch of coastline just south of Athens known for its beaches, seaside towns, and relaxed resort feel — while still being within easy reach of the city center and the airport (both approximately 30-45 minutes by car). Our Welcome Event and Farewell Gathering will be held in the Vouliagmeni area, a popular Riviera neighborhood with beautiful beaches, restaurants, and hotels. The wedding day celebration will take place at Pyrgos Melissourgou, located in Lagonisi, further along the Riviera. The two areas are approximately 25 minutes apart by car, depending on traffic. We HIGHLY recommend staying in Vouliagmeni for the wedding weekend. Both the Welcome Event and Farewell Gathering will take place near this neighborhood, and wedding day shuttle transportation will run between our recommended hotels in this area and the wedding venue (see "Wedding Day Transportation" below). Staying nearby will make getting to events and enjoying the weekend as easy and seamless as possible. There are many excellent hotels and Airbnb options throughout Vouliagmeni. Below, we’ve listed four recommended hotels, ranked from high to low by price point, for which we’ve secured discount codes for our guests. We generally recommend booking early for the best availability and pricing, though guests are welcome to book without using the discount code if they find a better rate elsewhere. Guests are of course welcome to stay elsewhere along the Athens Riviera. However, guests not staying at the recommended hotels will need to travel to those hotels to join the wedding shuttle or arrange alternative transportation in advance.

Getting Around
Rental Cars For guests planning to explore Athens beyond the wedding events, we recommend renting a car, as it offers the most flexibility for sightseeing and travel along the Athens Riviera. Rental cars are readily available at Athens International Airport (ATH) and throughout Athens. Driving in the Riviera area is generally straightforward, and parking is widely available at hotels, restaurants, and beaches. Driving distances: Most locations along the Athens Riviera are 20–40 minutes apart by car. Navigation: Google Maps and Waze work well throughout the area. Manual vs. automatic cars: Most rental cars in Europe are manual transmission. If you prefer an automatic, we strongly recommend reserving early, as availability can be limited. Ride-hailing & taxis Uber is available in Athens and connects riders only with licensed taxis. Local taxi apps such as FREE NOW are also commonly used and generally more reliable. Taxis can also be hailed directly, though this is easier in central Athens and less reliable along the Athens Riviera, where using an app is recommended. Availability may be limited late at night or during peak times. Public transportation Public transit is less convenient for reaching Riviera venues. Wedding Day Transportation
The wedding day celebration will take place at Pyrgos Melissourgou, a historic estate that has belonged to the Melissourgou family since 1836. The family’s heir still lives on the property, maintaining its legacy and charm. Located in Lagonisi, the estate is about a 25-minute drive from Vouliagmeni. Venue address: Pyrgos Melissourgou 42, Leof. Anavissou 5, km, Greece Shuttle Transportation (Recommended) Shuttle transportation will be provided between our recommended hotels (see above) and Pyrgos Melissourgou on the wedding day. The drive is approximately 25 minutes each way. Please see the “Wedding Day Shuttles” section of our website for pickup locations, departure times, and additional details. Guests who are not staying at the recommended hotels are welcome to walk or travel to those hotels to join the shuttle. Note that no shuttle transportation will be provided for the Welcome Event or the Farewell Gathering, and guests should plan their own transportation for those events. Taxi / Ride-Hailing Taxis and ride-hailing services are available in Athens, but availability from Pyrgos Melissourgou — particularly late at night — can be limited. We recommend planning transportation in advance if you do not plan to use the shuttle. By Car Guests who choose to drive are welcome to do so. Simply enter “Pyrgos Melissourgou” or the venue address provided above into your preferred navigation app for directions. Complimentary valet parking will be available at the venue, and no advance parking arrangements are required.
