Do I need a visa to travel to Greece?

Answer

Greece is part of the Schengen Area. Whether you need a visa depends on your passport nationality. Please refer to the Visa Information section under the Travel tab for more details.

When should I arrive in Greece?

Answer

Our first official event will take place in the afternoon of September 7, 2026. That said, if your schedule allows, we recommend arriving a couple of days earlier to take advantage of the Labor Day holiday, explore Athens and the Riviera, and adjust to the time difference — so you’re well rested and ready to celebrate with us on the wedding day.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to arrive at Pyrgos Melissourgou no later than 4:45 PM to allow time for seating and a prompt start of the ceremony.

How should I get to the venue on the wedding day?

Answer

Shuttle transportation will be provided between our recommended hotels and the wedding venue on the wedding day. Please see the “Wedding Day Shuttles” section of our website for pickup locations, schedules, and additional details. Guests are also welcome to arrange their own transportation, either by driving themselves or booking a car service.

How do I get to the Welcome Event and/or Farewell Gathering?

Answer

Guests should arrange their own transportation to the Welcome Event and/or Farewell Gathering, either by driving themselves or booking a taxi or car service. Shuttle service will not be provided for these events. Both events will take place in the Vouliagmeni area, within a 10-minute drive of our recommended hotels. For guests who choose to drive, Ark. (the Welcome Event venue) offers complimentary on-site parking on a first-come, first-served basis, while Zen Beach (the Farewell Gathering venue) offers valet parking for €10 per vehicle.

What is the dress code? Are there any colors that we should avoid?

Answer

Dress codes vary by event throughout the wedding weekend: Welcome Event: Cocktail Attire. Dressy, elegant looks are encouraged for a relaxed evening of celebration. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a collared shirt with trousers or a suit. Chinese-inspired attire is encouraged, but not required (the couple will be wearing traditional Chinese outfits). Wedding Day: Black Tie Optional. Tuxes and gowns are encouraged; suits and cocktail dresses are also welcome. For your reference, the bridesmaids will be wearing sage green, while the groomsmen will be wearing grey. Farewell Gathering: Casual beach attire. Relaxed, comfortable, and resort-appropriate attire is encouraged. Guests are welcome to bring swimwear if they wish to enjoy the beach and water. Towels and changing facilities will be available at the venue. To help maintain a cohesive aesthetic, we kindly ask guests to avoid attire that is predominantly red (reserved for the Chinese bride), white, cream, very light shades that may photograph white, or neon colors for all of the wedding events. To avoid any confusion, gentlemen are welcome to wear traditional white dress shirts with their suits or tuxedos.

What kind of weather should I expect, and will events be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Most events will take place outdoors, as the Athens Riviera in September offers very pleasant weather for outdoor celebrations. Average daytime temperatures typically range from 24–29 °C (75–84 °F), with mild evenings — generally warm and comfortable without the peak summer heat. Please note that winds along the Riviera can be strong at times, especially near the coast. Indoor areas will be available at all events should guests prefer to step inside or if weather conditions change.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we have decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We kindly ask that guests be 16 years of age or older. Thank you so much for understanding.

Do I need to RSVP for all wedding events I plan to attend?

Answer

Yes, please. We kindly ask guests to RSVP for each event they plan to attend as soon as possible, as this helps us plan seating, transportation, and catering.

Is attendance expected at all events?

Answer

Not at all. Since many of our guests are traveling a long way to join us, we’ve planned a few additional gatherings so you can make the most of your time in Greece / on the Riviera. That said, there is absolutely no pressure to attend every event — please feel free to join whatever fits best with your schedule and travel plans. The wedding day celebration is the only event where attendance is expected, if you are able to join us.

I have a dietary restriction. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes. Please select “Special Meal Request” in the RSVP section and note any allergies or dietary requirements there. If you are unable to include this information in your RSVP, please reach out to Gracy or Eric directly so we can plan accordingly.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We will not have a traditional registry, as we know many of you are traveling a long way to celebrate with us, and your presence truly means the world to us. If you are feeling especially generous, contributions toward our future together are always appreciated. Should I bring euros in cash?

Answer

Credit cards are widely accepted throughout Athens, including restaurants, hotels, and taxis. That said, we recommend carrying €50–€100 per person in cash for convenience — especially for small cafés, late-night taxis, or situations where card machines may be temporarily unavailable. ATMs are easy to find in the city and along the Riviera.

Is there anything special I should pack?

Answer

In addition to your event attire, we recommend bringing comfortable shoes, sun protection, and a bathing suit, as many hotels and activities along the Athens Riviera include beach or pool access.
