Flight
Liberia International Airport (LIR)
We recommend you fly into Liberia airport (LIR) which is a 50-minute drive from the hotel. LIR is served by major US airlines and has direct connections from many American cities. After landing, you will have the option to take a shuttle to Playa Potrero or rent a car. Alternatively, you can fly into San Jose International Airport (SJO), which is a 4+ hour drive to the venue or a 1-hour flight to LIR.

Ecotrans offers private airport transfers to/from the Liberia Airport to Playa Potrero. This is the option we recommend if people want easy transportation. We imagine that a lot of our group will be on similar flights, so feel free to coordinate shared shuttle with others. When booking, mention you are with the Aaron and Grace wedding group for a preferred rate. Rental Car
Adobe Rent A Car
If you are interested in renting a car, we recommend Adobe Rent A Car, a local Tico-owned company. In our previous trips to Costa Rica, we've always found they have the best mix of fair pricing, solid cars, and great customer service. If you prefer renting a car from an alternative company, the Liberia Airport also has other options like Enterprise, Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, etc. *The road conditions can be variable after the rainy season, so we only suggest this option if you're feeling adventurous, otherwise we recommend taking a shuttle.
