FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is classic formal wedding attire, with a bright and beachy twist. Vibrant colors, cheerful prints, and warm-weather fabrics are all welcome. Dress up, but don’t stress it!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Since Playa Potrero is a small beach town, there aren't a ton of nearby hotels, so we strongly suggest making a reservation at Bahia del Sol (the primary hotel and wedding venue). There are a few additional hotels and villas in the surrounding areas.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

After many years together, we’re so grateful for all the amazing people we've met along the way. Due to space limitations at the venue, we’re unfortunately unable to accommodate plus ones for everyone. If your partner’s name is listed on your save-the-date, they are invited. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome to join the trip to Costa Rica, however, we are asking that the wedding ceremony and reception are adults-only.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding means the world to us and is the greatest gift of all. For those who have asked, we've included our registry on this website.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

December in Costa Rica is beautiful! Expect warm, sunny weather in the 80s with a chance for some tropical rain. All wedding activities will be outdoors.

Question

Whom should I call with questions?

Answer

Feel free to reach out to either Grace or Aaron directly.

Question

What currency is used in Costa Rica?

Answer

While credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) are accepted almost everywhere, USD are also accepted most places. If you decide to exchange some currency to colones (local currency), we recommend you do it at the bank or at a trusted ATM, as the exchange rate is best there. American Express/Discover are not accepted in most places in Costa Rica.
