Las Catalinas: A nearby town known for it’s colorful architecture and great dining spots. Make a reservation for a sunset dinner at Casa Chameleon if you’re looking for a special treat!
Costa Rica Sailing Center: Directly next door to Bahia del Sol, you can rent stand up paddle boards, kayaks, and sailboats. Bahia del Sol Yoga: The hotel offers complimentary yoga classes each morning. Playa Flamingo Beach: A nearby white-sand beach ideal for relaxing, swimming, and beach walks.

La Leona Waterfall Adventure: A guided river and canyon walk with short swims, leading to La Leona Waterfall. We've previously booked with Don Rafa Adventure Tours. Rio Celeste Waterfall Hike: A rainforest hike to the iconic turquoise Río Celeste Waterfall in Tenorio Volcano National Park. One of the coolest places we've visited. Rincon De La Vieja National Park: A scenic hike through volcanic landscapes, featuring bubbling mud pots, waterfalls, and lush tropical forest.

La Fortuna is a town set in the shadow of the Arenal Volcano, surrounded by rainforests and natural hot springs. It offers everything from waterfalls and zip-lining to relaxing thermal baths.
