Moxy Charleston Downtown

$ The Moxy is the most affordable option downtown Charleston, located less than a 15 minute walk from the Hyatt (and a good option for those Marriott point people). It's slightly farther out of the main downtown strip but not noticeably so.

Hyatt Place Charleston/Historic District

$$ This is where our bus will drop off guests following the reception, but it's very centrally located downtown and guests can easily walk/Uber/Lyft from there to other hotels in the area.

The Ryder Hotel

$$$ The Ryder Hotel is a contemporary hotel with a stylish restaurant and pool ball called Little Palm. We've come to the hotel for drinks and brunch on multiple occasions and always enjoy the atmosphere. The Ryder is a 20 minute walk (7 min drive) south of the Hyatt in central downtown near some fantastic restaurants.

The Dewberry Charleston

$$$$ If you're looking for a luxury experience for your time in Charleston, this is your spot. The Dewberry has an in-house spa, rooftop bar and patio, and everything you could need for a treat-yoself getaway. It's also a 15 minute walk from the Hyatt drop off spot, but even more central downtown for shops, restaurants, and bars.

Airbnb

There are a TON of great rental options in Charleston on Airbnb, VRBO, etc. If you're staying with a group this is a great option to feel like a local in the city. Our favorite walkable neighborhoods are Elliotborough, French Quarter, and Hampton Park Terrace. If you do choose a spot closer to the venue you'll want to look in West Ashley for convenience.

Shuttle

Shuttle from Reception to Hyatt Place

November 1, 2025 9:30 pm - 11:00 pm

We'll have an optional one-way shuttle for guests from Magnolia to the Hyatt place downtown. We're hoping to eliminate the scramble for Uber/Lyft pickups in a fairly remote location at 10pm. Uber/Lyft from downtown to the ceremony & reception location takes about 25 minutes so plan accordingly!

Parking Information

If you have a car, either because you're local or have or a rental car, there is plenty of free parking at Magnolia.
