Honeysuckle Rose
Our favorite meal in three years of living in Charleston. This is a $250 per person 8-course journey of the senses. The price includes a wine pairing with every plate and includes gratuity. Momma Good had the mocktail pairing, which may have been even more impressive than the wines. Obviously not cheap, but if you want to splurge, this is the place. I would be shocked if this place didn't receive a Michelin star in the new Southeast Michelin guide coming this year!
The Royal Tern
Make a reservation on Resy for some delightful seafood. Can expect between $50-$75 per person. The mussels are a fantastic value!
Lewis Barbecue Charleston
Our favorite BBQ spot in Charleston. No reservations, but the line moves quickly and you can grab a drink from the bar while you wait. The brisket is fantastic!
Marbled & Fin
A surf & turf splurge, but Alec & I are still thinking about the meal we had there for my birthday. Reservations are highly recommended, and if you can't get a table it's also a great spot to sit at the bar and have a martini and appetizer.
Berkeley's
A more casual restaurant with a covered outdoor patio, serving comfort food, solid wines, and friendly vibes.
Vern's
One of our favorite restaurants in the city! Note: you will need to book a reservation on Resy several weeks in advance.
167 Raw Oyster Bar
IT'S OYSTER SEASON BABY. This is your spot for delicious and fresh seafood. They don't take reservations so we recommend showing up early to put your name in, and you can also go around the corner to Bar167 for oyster and a cocktail while you wait. They might have the best potatoes in all of Charleston
The Obstinate Daughter
A bit of a hike from downtown Charleston, but completely worth it for the food and a short walk to the beach (yes you can still go walk on the beach in late October here). The dinner is delicious and save room for the gelato shop downstairs.
Benny Ravello's
This late-night spot has pizza slices as big as your thigh.
High Cotton Charleston Restaurant
Alec wanted to throw this in here because the espresso martinis are FIRE.

Island Provisions - Downtown Charleston
Our go-to spot for coffee and breakfast sandwiches. They have an indoor space and patio to relax on, and they switch to happy hour at 5.
Prohibition
Always a great time! This place will have a Halloween pop-up bar for those interested
The Gin Joint
Cozy space for an absurdly large gin/cocktail list. The bartenders love to be creative and the result is good every time.
Saltwater Cowboys
We won't lie, this is a CHS daydrinking staple. If the weather is nice, grab a drink, sit outside, and enjoy watching the paddleboarders get attacked by seagulls. You may even see a rogue dolphin!
King Street
The main drag of Charleston. Great shopping, restaurants, and bars!
