WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

We met in the fall of 2016, through mutual friends, at what soon became the first of weekly Sunday night dinners. Shortly after brief introductions, Ben began debating the statistical difference in conditional likelihoods of a topic that nobody cares to hear about, you know, fun party conversation. A debate Caitlin did not care to take part in either, but he attempted to drag her into. It was in this moment that she dubbed thee a know-it-all. A strong start to what somehow became a love story.

On June 4th of 2022, after almost six (long) years since the day we met, Ben proposed during a private sailboat charter on the Hudson River in New York City, with champagne and charcuterie - of course! This was, obviously, 7 months after purchasing the ring, 3 months after asking for Caitlin's parent's blessing, and 5 failed proposal attempts. So you can see why the majority response received from friends and family was "FINALLY!" ... with some French thrown in.
