5:00 pm
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks.
We'll be doing a private ceremony with our immediate family a few days earlier, and we would love to celebrate our newly-minted marriage with our family and friends at a reception at the beautiful Sols Cliff House just outside of downtown Bar Harbor. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks (including beer and wine) will be served throughout the evening while we take in the beautiful views, explore the property + surrounding woods/shore, and play lawn games.
10:00 am
Wear clothes that are comfortable to hike in, and shoes with tread.
Come on an optional hike! One of the most iconic spots in Acadia, Jordan Pond is a great place to meet up for a bit of a hike! The main hike is just over 3 miles around the shore of the pond (and doable for most folks). There's an option halfway through to add in The Bubbles if you're looking for something a bit more strenuous (and you'll get a great view from the top!). If you want to meet the group, but you're not into hiking, you can hang at Jordan Pond House (opens at 11am) and take in the view while enjoying some yummy food and drinks :)
6:00 pm
Wear whatever you want! There's not much hiking involved in this one, so be fancy if ya wanna!
Join us for an optional group dinner! Cadillac Mountain has THE best view for sunset in Acadia! You get 360 degree views, so you get to see the sun dip below the horizon while also seeing the gorgeous light it casts on the water and the landscape in the opposite direction. We'll each bring our food with us, and enjoy a picnic dinner together while watching the sun go down!
5:30 am
Wear clothes that are comfortable to hike in, and shoes with tread.
And lastly, an optional sunrise hike! We know. It's super early. But if the weather is good, waking up to see the sunrise from Acadia is 100% worth it! We'll meet in the Sand Beach parking lot at 5:30am sharp and depart from there. We'll have two options to choose from - either hiking along the coastline (an easy hike) OR hiking the Beehive (a bit more challenging). Both options offer incredible views of the sun coming up over the ocean and you'll be blown away watching the sunlight light up the ocean cliffs!
