Things To Do

Welcome to the Jersey Shore! We are so excited to share our favorite places in the area with you! Although Scott was raised up north, he spent many summers with his family down the shore and lived here for a summer after graduating college. Kelsey grew up 20 minutes inland so has spent most of her life driving to and from the beach. The beach has always been her happy place. In addition to all these great recs, we also recommend just spending a day at the beach! We love Avon-by-the-Sea and Belmar but you really can't go wrong with any of them (except for Seaside). Make sure to pack sandwiches in a cooler and be ready for some sand in your pants!

10th Ave Burrito Co

801 Belmar Plaza, Belmar, NJ 07719

Our favorite Mexican spot in the area

Taka

660 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

Kelsey's favorite sushi spot in the area.

Jenkinson's Boardwalk

300 Ocean Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742

This is the closest boardwalk with all the bells and whistles. Games, zeppolis, line dancing at Jenks, you name it! If you're from out of town and have the time, we highly recommend checking it out.

The Columns

601 Ocean Avenue, Avon-by-the-Sea, NJ 07717

Scott worked here after college and it was cool back then, and is cool now! They have live music some nights too!

Klein's Fish Market

708 River Road, Belmar, NJ 07719

Great place for fresh fish and to sit on the water!

Silverball Retro Arcade

1000 Ocean Avenue North, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

Retro pinball arcade right near the venue! Super cool even if you're not into pinball.

Stone Pony Summer Stage

909 Ocean Avenue North, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

We HIGHLY recommend stopping by the Stone Pony. This is a historic venue in NJ and home to many a Bruce Springsteen show. If you can make the time, try to catch a band!

Paradise

101 Asbury Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

A fantastic LGBTQ+ bar that has great music and often hosts drag shows. Highly recommend for a night out.

Johnny Mac House of Spirits

208 Main Street, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

A super fun dive bar with a ton of character! They have so many fun signs hanging throughout the bar, skee-ball, and a pizza window where you a free personal pizza with a drink purchase! If you are visually overwhelmed, I would not recommend.

Six Flags Great Adventure

1 Six Flags Boulevard, Jackson Township, NJ 08527

This is a bit of a drive but, if you like theme parks and have the time, it may be worth checking out. Kelsey loves rollercoasters and has a lot of amazing memories here with family and friends.
