The first photo Kelsey has of the two of them on her phone. They had gone out with friends and she remembers thinking "How can one person be this much fun?"

The first time Kelsey formally met Scott's family in NYC. Scott insta-hemmed her pantsuit.

They spent many afternoons napping and snuggling on this old floral couch in Scott's apartment, only finding out later that it was basically an heirloom from his best friend's childhood home.

Scott quickly established rapport with Kelsey's nephews, so much so that when she called they would ask about him first.

Scott and Kelsey took their first trip together to Savannah, Georgia to play in a rugby tournament right before the world shut down in March 2020.

Scott decided to boulder on a hike together and fell about ~20 feet. Kelsey had nightmares for weeks after. This was just a sneak peak into a future of many misadventures they would have together.

During Covid, Scott spent a lot of time at Kelsey's parent's home. Even though the world was a mess, they found happiness and laughter with each other during that time.

They spent a lot of time outside together during that Spring, reading in hammocks and getting to know each other.

Once the world started opening back up again, the two thought it would be fun to take a cross-country road trip together! They spent 1 month living out of Scott's Jeep Renegade. This is Cedar Point.

They saw the Bean in Chicago! (from afar due to social distancing)

They kayaked the Chicago river with a friend who drove from Wisconsin!

Purple Mountain in Yellowstone National Park. This is the first hike they attempted on the road trip without any research. It was hard.

Kelsey saw true mountains for the first time!

They paddle boarded in Coeur d'Alene (and Scott thought it was SO funny when Kelsey fell off)

Mount Rainier National Park (they accidentally went off trail without spikes and Kelsey followed Scott without any worries while Scott internally panicked)

Went to Black Sands Beach-- the largest strip of undeveloped coast in the U.S. Picked up some hikers and had some beers-- as extroverts do.

Zion National Park

Visited Kelsey's cousin on his farm in Indiana. All of Kelsey's family adored Scott and she knew she was in trouble.

Scott was always supportive of whatever crazy Halloween costume Kelsey wanted to do. This year was the McMurray's from Letterkenny. Nobody at the Cranford Elks Halloween party got it.

Kelsey worked with an autistic boy most days, and Scott often sought any opportunity to come spend time with him, too. Kelsey adored Scott's soft and understanding nature.

Scott's first Giggenbach manicotti party-- he fit right in with the chaos.

They saw their first mutual friends get engaged.

They hosted Kelsey's nephews up North for Christmas lights and winter fun!

Scott and Kelsey went to visit Ithaca, where Scott went to college, and did some snowy exploring!

Scott threw Kelsey her very first surprise birthday party at Unami Park! He secretly invited all of her friends-- even some he had never met before!

They went on their first island vacation to Aruba and scooted around the island in style (by style, we mean that we were chased by island dogs but got away)

They volunteered together at World Pride in NYC

They often returned to the Elks lodge (where they had their first kiss) for fun, friends, and music.

They went to their first wedding together as partners. This was celebrating Scott's childhood friend in Indianapolis.

In August 2021, Scott and Kelsey moved to Oregon so Kelsey could attend grad school. This is their first charcuterie dinner at their first apartment in Hillsboro, OR

They travelled home for Thanksgiving and Scott went to his first Maryland Giggenbach Thanksgiving

They spent a lot of time at their favorite Mexican restaurant (shout out to Pepitas!) and this is the first pic their best friend, Emily, took of them!

Their first float on the Clackamas river. It's very beautiful but, in 4 years, they have not managed to make it stress-free.

Scott and Kelsey determined that flying home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas was too difficult. So, in their 2nd year in Oregon, they threw their first ever Misfits Thanksgiving.

Went to their first silent disco on the Tillamook Pedestrian Bridge on July 4th with Kelsey's parents.

Scott visited Kelsey at work often. This was her first Oregon job at Rock Creek Corner (RIP).

Went on so many Oregon hikes.

Played in and watched so many rugby games

Kelsey lived in Belize for 4 months for a fieldwork rotation and Scott was able to meet her out there so she could show him around! This is an ruin in San Ignacio!

Celebrated more friends getting married in Baltimore, MD.

They adopted their son, Levi-- AKA the best boy who's ever lived. (The photos of the two of them get progressively more sparse after this because they really only take pictures of Levi now)

Celebrated our final anniversary as boyfriend and girlfriend in Pacific City, enjoying the beautiful Oregon coast.

In March 2025, Scott asked Kelsey to go their favorite sunset spot in Portland. Kelsey said, "Uh, it's raining?"

Luckily, he convinced her to go anyway and they decided to team up for the rest of their lives.
