Things To Do

la Jolla Shores Beach

San Diego, CA 92037

Kev and Bri have a few favorite beach spots and this is in our top 2! Fun fact, this is where Kev proposed to Bri. The magic is undeniable! The best place to park is near Caroline's Beach Cafe (linked here). Our recommendation is to walk North, past the pier and set up by the stunning cliffs (be sure to avoid areas with signage for "unstable cliffs").

Windansea Park

6600 Neptune Place, San Diego, CA 92037

This is Kev and Bri's favorite beach, 5 minutes from the venue and nestled in the beautiful La Jolla neighborhood of Windansea. Plan to park a few blocks away, although you may get lucky and find a spot right on Neptune! For the whitest sand and breathtaking views, this is our go to for beach days.

Torrey Pines Golf Course

11480 North Torrey Pines Road, San Diego, CA 92037

One of the most breathtaking golf courses on the west coast, you will not regret adding this experience to your long weekend. We recommend pre-scheduling a tee time well in advance.

San Diego Surf School | San Diego Surf Lessons

4850 Cass Street, San Diego, CA 92109

Promised yourself you'd take a surf lesson while in San Diego? Here's your spot! Nestled in Pacific Beach, where Kevin and Bri first met in 2016, The San Diego Surf School takes it's students to a user friendly spot with easier waves, ideal for those looking to "catch their first wave". Fun fact, Kevin surfs regularly and has traveled across the country and globe chasing waves from up and down the SoCal coast to Baja California, Cabo, Ensenada & Indonesia. He and Bri have surfed a lot together, though she sits the big waves out :)

Mission Bay Golf Course and Practice Center

2702 North Mission Bay Drive, San Diego, CA 92109

This is a Par 3 course with more tee time availability and great if you're looking for a quicker round of golf, with no shortage of sunshine! Might we recommend fish tacos at The Fish Shop for lunch before or after. It's one of the couple's FAVORITE spots. If you enjoy a glass (or two) of wine, BYOB & just pay the $5 corkage fee.

Balboa Park

San Diego, CA

Balboa Park is a beautiful and whimsical wonder of San Diego, featuring trails, gardens and restaurants. We spend many a Saturday and Sunday afternoons strolling the park with a cup of coffee in hand, enjoying the crisp and mild San Diego breeze and getting our dose of Vitamin D. If you're looking to explore beyond the coast, Balboa Park is renowned destination in our amazing city and also the host of beautiful museums in some of the city's most historic districts.

Born and Raised Steakhouse

1909 India Street, San Diego, CA 92101

One of our FAVORITE steak houses in San Diego! Upscale & vibey; Borne & Raised is one of our favorite "celebration" spots with amazing cocktails, beautiful ambiance & great steaks & table-side dishes. *You'll need a reservation 1-2 months in advance, but we think it's worth it!

Cowboy Star Restaurant and Butcher Shop

640 Tenth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101

Another favorite spot for the couple, Cowboy Star is a fabulous & elevated steakhouse offering great cocktails & one of our favorite steaks in San Diego. Located downtown, you'll have options to bop to after, or we personally enjoy having a night cap at Cowboy Star's bar. You'll want a reservation; recommend making a few weeks out.

Day on Coronado

1500 Orange Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118

Coronado is an island accessible by bridge via a quick 10 minute drive from downtown San Diego OR a beautiful ferry ride from Broadway Pier (which is what we recommend!). A beautiful and iconic city on a peninsula, Coronado offers all the warm & fuzzies of SoCal & sights + beaches you may recognize from classic movies, like Top Gun. Our perfect day on Coronado includes a cocktail at Hotel Del and then a stroll to one of the many fabulous restaurants along the coastline's beautiful boardwalk & grabbing an ice cream at the famous MooTime for dessert. Coronado is walkable and remarkably clean and manicured and offers charming shops, bars & restaurants for a quaint day. Not to mention, some of the most beautiful historical homes in San Diego are on the Island. Just a few restaurants we love; The Henry (2 blocks from the Water), Sheerwater (waterfront, next to The Hotel Del) & Nado Republic

For all the days along the way
