Kev & Bri’s story began in 2016, years before they fell in love. Sitting down for a mutual friend's birthday dinner, Bri saw Kevin walk in, immediately catching her eye. Years later she would learn this frozen-in-time-moment and many moments in the future would have something in common; Kevin seldom being on time, ha! In this instance, being casually late worked in Kev’s favor as he won the attention of his future wife. Kev has become much more prompt while Bri has become much better at fibbing about what time things actually start 😊 Kevin noticed Bri too and after that night, had plans to ask her out, but his was thwarted when a friend uttered the disappointing news that "she has a boyfriend, bro". They laugh years later, still unsure of how that rumor started, but being glad it did! The timing of their relationship was perfect...6 years later! The years between held small but significant interactions between the two; bumping into each other at BBQs & birthday parties & building a foundation as friends. From the beginning Kevin was stunned by Bri’s beauty and he became even more captivated when he discovered how pure her heart and mind were. Of the many small but impactful interactions they had prior to dating, there was one in particular where Kevin discovered how growth minded Bri was. A mutual friend was berating himself and Bri challenged him, referencing ideas Kev recognized from Tony Robbins that reframed his perspective on the situation and himself as a whole. Being goal oriented and growth minded himself, this floored Kev that they were both about that life. The intrigue lingered but remained bound until the opportunity was ripe. In summer of 2020, the same crew who gathered years earlier at Zen 5 Sushi (Thanks Andy!) gathered for a day on the boat. Kev & Bri hit it off. Kev knew this was the chance he had hoped would come back around. In their conversations, he listened intently to snatch any hints he could on how to nail his at-bat with her and on 9/1/20 the two sat oceanfront with coffee unpacking their lives, values, goals & vision for their future, each being a little stunned by how much was aligned between them. Kevin was ready for a partner in life and set his intention to find a beautiful woman who was pure of heart, goal driven, and unapologetically herself; it was very evident early on that he had found what he was looking for. To top it all off, Bri made it very apparent in the early innings of the relationship the level of culinary excellence she wielded. A few weeks into the relationship, Bri was hosting family who was in town & it was too early for new boyfriend introductions, so she intentionally surprised Kevin with a doggie bag at his front door of a fresh batch of chicken parm covered in the family’s legendary sauce she had made from scratch. Che buono! A deeper connection grew & the next step was a no brainer. Kev asked Bri to officially be his girlfriend and start a partnership that they both felt would go the distance. Bri quickly fell in love with how kind, respectable and good of a man Kevin was. She loved his old fashioned qualities & how good natured he was. He was strong and masculine while being kind + gentle, not only towards Bri, but towards his family, kids, elders & even animals. Most of all, Bri was struck by the strong character of Kevin. He was the type of man she’d been waiting to find and life with Kev just made sense, and was SO fun! 3 years later, Kev asked Bri to marry him, and you guessed it, with feet in the sand along the ocean shores. The two love doing life as a team, growing their faith & enjoying life as best friends. They love the outdoors, snowboarding, beach days, staying active & being with family & friends. They dream of continuing to build their life and a family in San Diego in the beautiful coastal & sunny lifestyle that is the California dream. Happily every after started after date #1 and has continued ever since, with forever up ahead!🫶🏼
