Overlooking the White House and Washington Monument, Kate and Freddy met through a mutual friend at a birthday party. From the initial conversation, sparks flew and both knew they had met someone special. Several years later, we still visit POV to reminisce and enjoy the views.
In the ensuing years, we explored D.C., each other's hometowns, and the world together. Freddy shared with Kate his love of all things related to history, and Kate shared with Freddy her love of all things sailing. Freddy convinced Kate to go to Disney World (a lot), and Kate convinced Freddy to enjoy Sunday Fundays. From museums and movie marathons, baseball games and beach days, to buying a home and a boat, we built a beautiful life together. It was only a matter of time...
Freddy sent Kate away from the house with some friends so he could decorate and prepare to pop the question. Hundreds of rose petals and candles adourned the foyer, staircase, and kitchen where Freddy patiently waited for his soon-to-be bride to come home. Kate arrived to the tune of her favorite Parisian instrumental with Freddy down on one knee. He said a few sweet words, asked Kate to marry him, and without hesitation she said "yes!"
