Priest
The Rev'd Canon Chad Jones is the Priest at The Church of the Resurrection in Franklin, Tennessee. He and his wife, Kim, are the God-parents of the Bride and Fr.Jones is the priest who baptized Jackson in April of 2025. Fr. Jones and his family are dear friends of the Henerys, first meeting at Nashotah House Theological Seminary. While at seminary the Bride's father, Fr. Charles Henery, was Fr. Jones' professor and their two families grew to be life long friends. The Bride's parents are also the God-Parents of the Jones children. Jackson and Maggie have grown very close with Fr. Chad and his family and have made multiple trips to celebrate Holy Week and Easter with his family in Nashville. Fr.Chad has been monumental in helping Jackson and Maggie grow in their faith not just as individuals, but as a couple as they intentionally prepare for a sacramental marriage.
Priest
The Very Rev'd Dr. Gary W. Kriss is the God-Father of the Bride and a dear friend of the Bride’s father (and mother). The bride fondly refers to him as ‘Abba’ and has been blessed to have him as a source of spiritual guidance throughout her life. Dean Kriss was also the best-man at the Bride’s parent’s wedding. Upon his graduation from Dartmouth he went on to attend Yale Divinity School. Following his graduation he was appointed Chaplain to the Congregation at the Cathedral Church of Saint Paul in Burlington, Vermont, where he was ordained Deacon and Priest. From 1992 to 2001 he was Dean of Nashotah House, working with the Bride’s father. He is retired and now lives near Salem, New York.
Priest
The Rev'd Canon Henry Doyle is the God-Father of the bride. He and the bride’s father have been long time friends, The bride and her three siblings all fondly refer to him as ‘Uncle Henry’ as he has been a constant figure in their lives. He is also the priest who married the bride's sister and her husband. Fr. Henry was chaplain at Shattuck-St. Mary’s, a prep school in Faribault, Minn. He has worked at the school for 20 years, and for almost that long, he has sent greeting cards — tens of thousands of them — noting birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, births, and deaths. Every Christmas, he sends out more than 2,000 cards. Uncle Henry takes his time with the greeting cards he sends, addressing each by hand, not abbreviating any addresses, and making sure he doesn’t miss anyone on his list. The bride, her parents, her siblings, their spouses, and their children have received a greeting card for every holiday, big or small, and a phone call with Uncle Henry singing happy birthday every year.
