Visit the Booth Family Hall of Athletics to see historic memorabilia, including the original rules of basketball, and sign up to take an official tour of the "Cathedral of Basketball". This is one of our absolute favorite spots and places to go with our families.

A vibrant, walkable downtown with boutique shops, restaurants, art galleries, and live music. Many of our dates have been held here and many memories have been made with our friends and family on this street. One of the bars we went to the VERY first night we met is located on this strip. We both agree that our conversation sitting at the bar the very first night is when we had a feeling the other was someone special.

Showcasing Lawrence’s past with engaging exhibits inside a historic building. Fun fact: The bride’s ancestor, Lewis Howell—one of Lawrence’s original settlers—has his tools featured in a main exhibit, and his name is also is listed on a plaque commemorating Lawrence's original settlers.
The Eldridge hotel holds a special place for Margaret, as her ancestral family helped to build the original structure when Lawrence was first settled. The hotel is now a beautiful place to lodge, have a meal in the restaurant, stop by for a cocktail, or even take their haunted ghost tour!
The Capital is a beautiful spot to visit in Topeka to learn more about the history of Kansas and to admire the beautiful architecture and art featured. The Capitol building offers daily guided tour options, including a dome tour. Located near the capital building is the KS Judicial Center. While public tours are not available for the Kansas Supreme Court at its current location, you can attend an oral argument, visit the law library, and schedule a private group tour. Fun Fact: Jackson's Paternal Great-Grandfather, John F. Fontron, a graduate of University of Kansas School of Law, was on the KS Supreme Court from 1964-1975. Mr.Fontron is a highly distinguished member in the Kansas Legal Community and in 1964, was awarded by the University of Kansas Law School the inaugural award for Distinguished Service.
