Our wedding ceremony will take place at Grace Episcopal Cathedral, followed by a cocktail hour and reception at the Topeka Country Club, with dinner and dancing. We will be celebrating with a full wedding Mass which includes Communion, which is very important to us as we receive the sacrament of marriage. Please expect the wedding Mass to be about one and a half hours.
FORMAL ATTIRE. Our wedding will be a formal affair. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit and tie, while ladies can opt for a floor-length gown or formal cocktail dress. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style! We also kindly request that guests dress modestly in a way that is respectful of the sacred space during the Wedding Mass. That said, if this dress code would make it difficult for you to attend, please know it is your presence which matters most to us.
Children are welcome only if we have included on your invitation. If not, please plan to attend without children. Thank you for understanding!
Yes! There is parking available at both the Cathedral and the Club. Please note the parking lot at the church is smaller so you may have to park on the street. Both locations include handicap accessible parking.
We’ve provided a list of hotels near the venue on our Travel page. We encourage booking early due to high demand with the World Cup happening in Kansas City at the same time.
We’re so excited to celebrate with all of you! Due to limited space, we’ve reserved seats only for the guests listed on your invitation and RSVP. If you haven’t been assigned a plus one, we kindly ask that you attend solo. Thank you for understanding!
Please arrive at the Cathedral and be seated at the very latest 15 minutes before the ceremony start time at the latest to ensure that we can begin the ceremony on time. If you are running late we ask you please wait to enter the Nave until there is a natural break in the mass.
We kindly request no photos or phones out during the church service to maintain the reverence of the full wedding Mass. We have hired a photographer and would be happy to share any photos upon request.
