Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us!

Peter Leahey

Best Man

The earth formed 4.5 billion years ago. Single cell life emerged 3.5 billion years ago. About 200 million years ago Pangaea separated into the European and American continents and historians largely believe it was about this time that Peter and Jon met on the playground of West Mercer Elementary. Like shifting tectonics, Peter and Jon’s lives have changed a lot since that time. They are a little older and a little wiser, having endured new schools, new jobs and the occasional youthful transgression. But despite all the change, their friendship has remained constant (as has the fact that Jon will never beat Peter on a westside highway run). Not bad for two kids from Mercer Island!

Kyla Melnick

Matron of Honor

We met in fifth grade at the skating rink in our hometown, and I invited Kyla to my Titanic themed (epic) birthday party when someone else canceled. Best cancellation of my life, and the last 22+ years have been filled with amazing memories and belly aching laughter. Can't wait to have you by my side!

Patrick Fergusson

Groomsman

Patrick and Jonathan are childhood friends who's shared love of the Seattle Seahawks Football Team has carried their friendship for many years. This has led to countless experiences including trips where Jonathan travelled to Washington D.C. to visit Patrick and watch playoff runs to Patrick visiting NYC for live in person games at MetLife Stadium against the Jets and Giants. While Patrick and Jonathan's first love of football was shared on the gridiron Freshman year of high school, Patrick ultimately couldn't handle the intensity of contact sports and hung up his cleats, while Jonathan continued on to Varsity. This friendship has known no geographic limits and withstood the test of time and life changes. Patrick has and will always be a source of wisdom and trusted confidant for Jonathan.

Kassandra Walton

Bridesmaid

We were roommates in college at Florida State, and have grown closer every year since with countless trips and adventures in between. I've never met a more unique and spontaneous friend, and her Halloween costumes get better every year.

Demetri Marinides

Groomsman

Jonathan and Demetri became friends during their freshman year at Northeastern University, and later became roommates. Their friendship has endured despite long distances, careers, and Jonathan still being into CrossFit. Jonathan looks to Demetri on questions of class, grace, and style. They've had many good times together, from celebrating St. Patrick's Day in Boston and house parties in the suburbs of Buffalo, to nights out in New York and California. If Demetri ever needs a lawyer, he'll know to ask Jonathan to recommend someone else.

Amber Hewko

Bridesmaid

We met at work when I first moved to NYC, and we instantly connected over our unique senses of humor (and our appreciation for a popcorn machine at a midtown bar). We've grown so close over the last few years and I am so thankful for my Amber!

Matt Astphan

Groomsman

Matt and Jonathan’s worlds collided aboard a green line trolley in Boston, circa 2006, as they attended Northeastern University. Jonathan was immediately smitten with Matt’s upperclassman poise and confidence, becoming something of a protégée in the game of life. Since that time, they’ve shared countless memories together, from New Year’s Eve festivities in NYC, to bottle service at LA nightclubs, to kayaking in Canada’s northern lakes. No matter what happens in life, Matt will never let Jonathan borrow his golf clubs again.

Carolyn Brown

Bridesmaid

We met in 7th grade during a Saint Margaret Mary production of Bye Bye Birdie, and the rest is history. We have grown our friendships through so many life changes, and we always say how lucky we are that we never seem to skip a beat!

Logan Wenzler

Groomsman

Jonathan and Logan met early on while at Northeastern University, and regardless of time or distance, can pick up right where they left off. Their friendship was strengthened during study abroad in Sydney, Australia where Logan used his skills of peer pressure to convince a reluctant Jonathan to go sky-diving AND bungee jumping while in New Zealand. To this day Logan is still amazed/horrified at the "pencil jump feet first" technique that Jonathan performed. Logan is excited for the next time he laughs at Jonathan's expense.

Kathryn Aho

Bridesmaid

We met in Orlando after college, and have maintained such a special friendship, even when living in separate cities! We can chat for hours and not even notice, and we have a mutual appreciation for tough workouts, meaningful conversations, and a solid charcuterie board.

Rob O'Sullivan

Groomsman

Rob’s wife, Susan, is an old travel friend of Jonathan’s mom, Melinda. So when Jonathan arrived in NYC in the fall of 2010, Rob, being the generous benevolent person he is, was more than happy to help the transplant find his way. You may be surprised to learn that the erudite sophisticated Jonathan that you all know and love today, is not the same Jonathan that spent his first night in New York on our couch. A fast friendship was born as Jonathan, obviously impressed by Rob’s intelligence and good looks, was a quick study and in short order became a New Yawker, minus the accent. Rob was pleased that Jonathan decided to not root for the Yankees, preferring the Mets instead. In turn, Rob has developed a soft spot for the Seahawks. Over the decade, Jonathan has become an unofficial O’Sullivan

Jing Jing Li

Bridesmaid

Jing went from being my boss to my bestie (she was my manager at a sushi restaurant in Tallahassee back in the day). We have traveled and together, explored different cities, and different phases of life! We are foodie kindred spirits, and share a sense of adventure that has always bonded us.

Jay Adams

Groomsman

An unlikely pair - one quiet, one not so much. Jay met Jonathan early in his NYC journey through the Crossfit community. Jonathan was in awe of Jay's post-collegiate athletic strength and Jay was constantly amazed by how well Jonathan, a top-notch former high school athlete, was able to hang with the big dogs at the gym (and by "hang" we obviously mean banter and develop amazing friendships). The two quickly developed a bond in NYC that transcended throwing weights around but rather was based on genuine friendship and innate understanding that we both needed someone a little different than ourselves in our lives. No matter the distance between the two, Jonathan will continue to call, check-in and challenge Jay's philosophical views on life...and Jay will continue to be happy he did so.

Jacob Krumm

Bridesman

We met at a Rotary club conference that our parents made us go to when we were 15, and we bonded over our mutual love for loud laughter and silliness. We have so many amazing memories, including dance parties on the subway, and buying our favorite comedian an Aperol Spritz when we ran into her in NYC.

Tom Armstrong

Groomsman

Jonathan and Tom first met when their career paths intersected at Goldman. Jonathan would go on to gain two priceless gifts from Tom. The first, which came from long walks along Venice Beach, was who he should not date, ultimately and thankfully leading him to course correct, and to the amazing Kaitlin. Second, if there’s one person that Jonathan owes all his career success to, it’s Tom. The trenches of financial crime compliance are difficult. Not lucrative. But fighting the good fight together has cemented their bond over the years. And Tom, in turn, gained a lifelong friend. Jonathan’s love of the Seahawks notwithstanding.
