SMF (Sacramento) is the airport of choice. Rental cars are cheaper through this airport as opposed to the Bay Area airports of San Francisco or Oakland. The Bay Area airports are notorious for weather, delays, cancellations, and traffic. We highly recommend considering all aspects of travel when deciding which airport will work better for your travel plans. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, The Golden Gate Bridge and Bay Bridge have tolls! The Bay Bridge is CASH ONLY and the Golden Gate has NO CASH options! Please plan accordingly. If you drive over the Bay Bridge without cash, you will be summoned a fine.
