The Town of Calistoga
This town is the "wild wild west" of wine country! Known for geothermal hot spring pools, almost all the spas & hotels have pools of hot mineral water to soothe in after a long day exploring. With countless wineries in downtown Calistoga, two of our favorites were T-Vine Cellars & Tank Garage. A bit outside downtown is the amazing Hans Fahden Winery: home to the only natural caves in Napa to enjoy wine in along with their incredible garden. Tamber Bey Vineyards was also a favorite as they are the home to over 50 rescue horses! They mix wine & love so perfectly, that you won't want to leave. Another must-see in Calistoga is Helena View Johnston Vineyards. Helena View burned to the ground within the first 3 hours of the fires, losing vines, 30k bottles, & their building. Owner, Charles Johnston still find ways to host visitors on-site to share the wines they saved along with incredible stories! This amazing town is a MUST! St. Helena is home to Beringer Vineyards, Sutter Home Winery, Hall Vineyards, and many other prominent names in wine. There is also tons of shopping, dining, and an amazing cocktail bar for when you are "wined out." Goose and Gander has some amazing mixologists to get your liquor fix after days of wine-oriented experiences!
