The Barnacle
Great place for cocktails.
Mount Constitution
Highest spot in the islands. The stone observation tower is a great lookout point overlooking the water, the mainland, the Cascades and other islands. If you have the time, go for a drive and check out the views.
Moran State Park
One of the largest state parks in Washington. Lots of trails for hiking and biking. If youre up for camping, there are several sites here. Checking out Cascade Lake or Mount Constitution are highly recommended.
Outlook Inn and New Leaf Cafe
Excellent brunch. If you go, check out Saraʻs Garden behind the inn. It is a peaceful garden area and a nice place to sit and chat.
Brown Bear Baking
Great pastries that tend to sell out early! Grab a coffee here before you check out the rest of East Sound.
Rosario Resort & Spa
We dined here on our vacation last fall. After walking around the grounds, we definitely want to stay here in the future. Good food and breathtaking views of the water.
Orcas Island Farmer's Market
If youre here Saturday morning, grab a bite to eat here and check out the farmers market.
Orcas Island Winery
Lovely place to sit outside and try a flight of local wines.
Doe Bay Cafe
Best meal we had on the island when we visited in 2021. Definitely recommended if youre looking for a nicer dinner in a quiet, beautiful location.
BoatHouse CiderWorks
If youre a cider fan, this is the spot to be. Grab a drink at this bar that overlooks the ferry landing. Watch the ferries load and unload and other watercraft come in to dock. We saw Orcas from this spot, but wildlife spotting is not guaranteed!
