Hikes

Please join us during the week for some of the hikes shown here! We will be scheduling our hikes and sharing the details closer to August. Make sure to check the AllTrails links for each hike to learn about the length, elevation gain, and difficulty level. We encourage you to look for other hikes not on this list and share your favorites with us! We will try to incorporate as many hike suggestions in our schedule as possible. Remember to hike safely and leave the trails better than you found them!

Jordan Pond Trail

This trail features boardwalk paths along the side of the pond with some rock scrambles. On this 3.3 mile loop, you'll circle Jordan Pond with views of the Bubble Mountains overhead the entire way.

Acadia Long Pond Loop

A 4.7 mile loop trail alongside Long Pond and the perimeter of Mansell Mountain with views of the coast, Beech Mountain and Bernard Mountain. Some sections of the trail have plenty of rocks and roots, so wearing proper footwear is encouraged.

Beehive Trail

1.6 miles of incredible views and challenging rung and ladder sections, the Beehive Loop trail is one of the most popular hikes in the park and one we highly recommend to any experienced hikers. There is a less strenuous and safer route up to the peak for anyone who still wants the views from the top, but is worried the ladder portions would be too much for them.

Ship Harbor Loop

Located near the Seawall Campground, this 1.4 mile loop is perfect for families and birders. Hikers will pass a narrow cove and spruce forest where loons, eagles, herons, and osprey are often sighted. Visitors can bring dogs on this trail, but they must be on a leash 6 feet or shorter.

Hadlock Ponds Loop

A 3.7 mile loop around the Hadlock ponds, this trail will have you crossing rocky paths, boardwalks, and log bridges with views of the water the entire way.
