We will miss celebrating with you in Acadia, but hope you will be able to make it to the Wedding Celebration we will be hosting for all our extended family members and friends in September of 2026.
No, a park entrance pass is not required to attend the rehearsal dinner, ceremony*, or reception dinner. Acadia National Park is on Mount Desert Island, but much of the island and most of the roads are not owned by the National Park, and therefore do not require an entrance pass. However, we highly recommend getting a pass to make the most of your visit. Individual passes for those walking or taking the shuttle into the park are $20/person, while vehicle passes which cover you and all your passengers are $35/car. Standard passes are valid for 7 days and can be purchased at the Hulls Cove Visitor Center or online here: https://www.nps.gov/acad/planyourvisit/fees.htm *technically, you do have to have a pass to park at the ceremony location, but we will be arranging carpools to facilitate parking and will ensure all cars have a valid pass.
We feel incredibly thankful that our close friends and family are willing to make the time and financial sacrifices necessary for us to have our special day. As such, the best present you can give is to just come out and celebrate with us. We cannot wait to share Acadia's wonders with you all and celebrate the start of our marriage with you. We will have a card box at the reception for any well-wishers, but please do not feel pressured to provide a gift, just showing up means more to us than you know!
For our ceremony, we ask that you dress comfortably in formal summer attire. Think khakis, dress shirts and summer dresses with light breathable fabrics. Keep in mind the mornings may be chilly or breezy (especially at Seawall!) so consider bringing a sweater or shawl. We recommend wearing practical footwear (heels not recommended) for the rocky terrain at Seawall but you're welcome to wear your best dancing shoes for our reception at Beal's!
We will hold our ceremony at Seawall Picnic area at 10am. After the ceremony, there will be a few hours where you are free to explore the park, window shop in Bar Harbor or Southwest Harbor, or return to your hotel to relax before our reception. The reception will start at 5pm at Beal’s Lobster Pier. We highly recommend coming early to explore the pier (and to secure your parking spot)!
