Wedding Party

Our Nearest and Dearest, Ride-or-Dies, Biggest Cheerleaders, Supporting Cast, —etc., etc., etc.

Caitlin Rose

Bride

Caitlin is the yin to my yang. For years, I thought I was looking for someone just like me (talker, hiker, movie nerd, extrovert, big energy). But two years ago, the universe had other plans and led me to my perfect opposite—my yang: a listener, a cozy coucher, a book lover, an introvert with the calmest, quietest energy. We’ve fit together like a perfectly worn-in glove ever since (she’s the glove in this metaphor). Caitlin is the most patient person you’ll ever meet—honestly, just imagine the patience it takes to date me. She’s also effortlessly hospitable, going out of her way to make everyone feel welcome… so much so that our friends started calling our home “The Four Seasons Westwood.” Her TikTok algorithm says it all: Harry Styles, emotional dog adoption videos, and $5M homes with old French kitchens we must live in one day (see registry tab if you’d like to help). She’s full of fun facts, random history tidbits, and has a deep love for outer space—especially the stars… maybe because she has so many in her eyes. I started calling her my partner just three months in, because that’s exactly what she is—my 50/50 through everything. She’ll make an incredible wife and an exceptional mother. She’s my bride-to-be, and I love her to the moon and back. This photo was taken the moment I asked Caitlin to be my girlfriend—but to me, it was the first time I was really asking her to one day be my wife.

Mathew Louis

Groom

Mathew has won more Robert Redford lookalike contests than anyone you know (two contests, friends-only—but still, more than anyone you know!). He is “totally not addicted” to bidding on sunglasses and air purifiers on ShopGoodwill (ever heard of it?) and scoring West Elm furniture on Facebook Marketplace. What started as a love-hate relationship with my dog Noodle has turned into him reigning as the preferred dog parent. He knows his only real competition for my love is Harry Styles—and he’s mostly okay with that. Mathew loves me more than I ever thought possible. He’s not perfect (see Harry above), but he’s exactly perfect for me. From the moment I reached across the table, grabbed him by the scruff of his neck, and kissed him on our first date, I knew it would be my last first kiss. Every moment since has been more magical than the last—there was even a literal shooting star when we first whispered I love you on a beach in Hawaii (seriously!). From his quiet support and constant encouragement to be the best version of myself, to his nighttime zoomies before bed, I know that choosing him as my partner for life will never be dull—and will always be full of unconditional love and support. Mathew will be the best husband—and someday, the best father—this lucky girl could ever dream of.

Carrie Funk

Bridesmaid

Fiercely protective of her youngest sister, Carrie has been telling any man who’s ever looked twice at me to “eff off, she’s 12” since I was… well, 12. A true Virgo oldest sister, she’s given me the safest place to grow my wings through so many chapters of my life—whether it was sneaking into her room on school nights to watch South Park, spending a very broke summer in New York sharing IDs to get into bars I was far too young for, getting drunken tattoos in Berlin after my first stint abroad that both of us immediately regretted, or giving me a home and stability when I found myself in Los Angeles starting over at 26. And now, it’s finally time for baby bird to leave the nest and start my own happily ever after. She’s always the first to champion Matt and my relationship, and her approval has always meant the most to me. I’m so happy to have her standing by my side on the big day.

Andy Fiegleman

Best Man

I’ve known Andy for a really long time… all 32 years of my life. For the first 24 of those years, Andy suffered from classic third-child / younger brother syndrome, mostly by following the path I so generously paved—Boston University School of Business, PwC as our first job, and eventually moving to Los Angeles for the film industry (very original, I know… Jews in Hollywood). But around 25, Andy really came into his own. He pivoted into data and analytics (huge nerd move), he went back to school for a master’s in Information Science at UC Berkeley, and he has since worked at Warner Brothers and now Netflix as a data engineer. Between the two of us, we’ve managed to cover about half of Hollywood. Since moving to LA, Andy’s been my go-to for everything—movie nights, hiking trails, national park adventures, and, on more than one occasion, safely getting each other home after an unexpected karaoke night gets a little out of hand. He’s also helped me move more times than I can count, always without hesitation. Andy is easygoing, endlessly supportive, and brings a kind of lightness that keeps everyone laughing. He’s also LA’s second-best fashion thrifter… right behind me, of course. He’s my younger brother—and my best man.

Shannon Funk

Bridesmaid

My big sister has worn so many hats over our 36 years together. She’s been my go-to for boy advice in high school, my partner-in-crime for Sunday morning Jersey Shore marathons in our matching Snuggies on Mom’s couch, my personal makeup artist and stylist for weekend trips to Las Vegas, and the best friend I could ever ask for while navigating my 20s. Growing up and becoming women together has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and she honored me in the most special way when she made me Auntie for the first time. While I know I can never fully repay the countless roles she’s played in my life, I also know that Shan will be there through it all—and will happily don one more hat as she helps me get ready to marry the love of my life.

Travis Crawford

Groomsman

Often referred to as “Matt’s Therapist,” Travis and Matt are two guys who spend more time yapping on the phone than anyone else you know. Despite the miles, Trav has a permanent (virtual) spot at our dinner table—perfect for life advice, film bro chats, and an excellent guide if you ever find yourself rafting the Grand Canyon. I first met Travis on a snowy winter night at the start of COVID, when I drove eight hours from LA to visit my friend Kara. I showed up at 2am to find the house asleep—except for one long-haired, handlebar-mustached stranger sitting quietly, waiting. Travis looked up and said, “Kara mentioned a friend was driving in, so when everyone fell asleep, I just wanted to make sure someone was here to get you in safe.” That’s Travis. It wasn’t until the following weekend that I realized he was also a movie guy—like really a movie guy (1930s foreign films, the real deal)—and an outdoorsman. There aren’t many guys wired like us, so when you find one, it’s kind of a big deal. We’ve watched dozens of films, taken on some big hikes, and—more than anything—spent hundreds of hours talking each other through life’s highs and lows. It’s rare to find a friend like that later in life… and when you do, you make him a groomsman.

Jesse Fiegleman

Bridesmaid

Jesse is one of the first people Matt ever met on Earth—and if he doesn’t stop annoying her, she may be the last person he sees! Matt’s sister has always had a reputation as the “big boss” of the family—intense, direct, and a little intimidating in the best way. She has classic New York energy: fast-paced, no-nonsense, and completely intolerant of inefficiency. She doesn’t sugarcoat things, doesn’t waste time, and definitely doesn’t wait in long lines without commentary. Underneath that tough exterior is one of the most loyal, generous, and caring people Matt knows. She’ll always tell you the truth, even when it’s not what you want to hear—but it’s usually exactly what you needed. If you’re in her circle, you have someone who will stand by you, fight for you, and probably organize your entire life into a new AI system while she’s at it. She’s also highly accomplished in business, very much living a Succession-style NYC life, and still manages to travel everywhere—Italy, safaris, Australia, Argentina. Her work-life balance could go toe-to-toe with Matt’s father. Growing up with her meant always having someone who pushed me, protected me, and occasionally terrified me. Jesse couldn’t be more excited for Caitlin to become her sister-in-law—contingent, of course, on her continued employment at Four Seasons. 😅

Joe Coleman

Groomsman

Joe is a mysterious guy who now lives in an equally mysterious place—Bend, Oregon. We became friends back in 2006, under… less than ideal circumstances. My family had gone on vacation, and I told two friends they could hang out in our basement—but no one else, “even Joe.” That was relayed to Joe as “no one else, especially Joe.” After about a month of awkwardness, I called everyone to make plans, only to hear, “We’re going to the mall… Joe’s dad is driving us.” Tough scene. Just when I thought my social life was over, I got a call from Joe: “We’re outside your house. Let’s go.” And just like that, Joe and I began a 20 year friendship where no matter where we disagree, we move forward. Our lives have taken very different paths, but we share a sense of global curiosity and wonder that’s hard to come by. We’ve spent countless nights camping in remote corners of the US, driving through the middle of nowhere, and years just seeing where the story takes us. One of my favorite memories with Joe was summer 2022, waking up at thousand islands lake to a light knock on my tent at 6am to Joe delivering some freshly brewed coffee at sunrise. A great guy. Ol’ faithful Joey Coleman—my groomsman.

Clover Belle

Flower Girl

An actual fairy princess disguised as a 7-year-old, Coco started planning her aisle strut the moment she heard Auntie and Uncle Matty were getting married—channeling full-on America’s Next Top Model energy. As the oldest of Caitlin’s nieces and nephew, she’s more than happy to help guests with their sparkly eyeshadow or lead a fairy scavenger hunt in the garden.

Clementine Rue

Flower Girl

Clementine and Matt love to remind everyone that they’re birthday twins—just a few years apart. Kindred spirits through and through, Clemmy is especially excited to have Uncle Matty as her lifelong partner-in-crime—someone she can hide in the corner with and whisper fart jokes to for years to come.

Indigo Luca

Ring Bearer

Auntie’s built-in travel buddy since the ripe age of six months, Indigo reluctantly gave up his spot when Uncle Matty came along. That said, he still enjoys VIP perks—namely, swimming at any Four Seasons pool he wants… as long as Uncle Matty hops in with him. Indie will most likely be rocking matching leopard prints with his mama all weekend long—and fully plans to shut down the dance floor at the reception.
