Caitlin & Matt found each other the old-fashioned way—on the Hinge dating app! Their first date took place at Old Man Bar (name of the bar, not Matt's man cave) in Culver City, in Booth #3—now affectionately known as "The Proposal Booth" since exactly two years later (almost to the hour), Matt proposed to Caitlin in that very same spot. "Their song" (“Isn’t It Romantic” by Mel Tormé) was playing on vinyl, a fountain of champagne was pouring, and a bouquet of pink roses appeared almost by magic. Caitlin got the proposal every girl dreams of… on a Monday night at 9pm, in a bar, on $5 burger night...with her prince charming...Beauty& the Beast style (not saying who is who!). At the heart of Caitlin & Matt’s story is a shared value system, a love of arts and culture, a perfect balance between long weekend hikes and lazy afternoons at the hotel pool, the support of incredible family and friends, and a mutual knack for letting their inner child come out to play whenever they’re together.
We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the FiegleFunk wedding weekend, October 2–4! We’re so excited to celebrate with you as we make our lifelong commitment to each other—and finally get the government involved to make it official. The entire weekend will take place onsite at Casa Cody, a charming 30-casita resort in the heart of Palm Springs. With two pools, spacious lawns, a spa, and a cozy restaurant/bar, everything you need will be right there. No coordinating rides, no stressing about meals—just switch into vacation-with-friends mode from check-in to check-out as we soak up three sunny days together. While you can fly directly into Palm Springs, we highly recommend turning this into a full SoCal adventure. Whether it’s driving the iconic PCH through Big Sur, standing among the giant sequoias, exploring Joshua Tree, or trying your luck in Hollywood, there’s plenty to see. And if you want tips, Caitlin & Matt are always happy to help—we’ve covered a lot of California and have plenty of ideas to share! See you soon, Caitlin & Matt
