Maid of Honor
Emily and Allison met working together for REE Medical during covid, and despite being a fully remote company, bonded quickly. Emily is a ball of sunshine, everyone's biggest hype-man, and the best person to plan a trip with, bar none. Emily and her partner Doug co-parent her wonderful son Finn, who's bright and curious mind keeps them on their toes.
Jeff Batt
Best Man
Dan describes Jeff as a teacher/manager doing the needful. Jeff and Dan first met each other in 2007 when Jeff lived across the hall at Seminary Hall at Augustana College. Jeff was blessed with not one, but two roommates named Nick that became the subject of at least one campus police visit. Dan and Jeff ended up living together for six years after college, until Hannah stole him away and Dan had to clean his own bathroom. They've been besties ever since, and Dan is very excited for Jeff to be his best man (since Dan wasn't invited to Jeff's wedding).
Jenny Kaulen
Bridesmaid
Jenny and Allison met through Dan, but quickly stopped leaving plans up to the boy's ability to plan hang outs. Jenny is a ride or die friend, endlessly supportive and kind, and also introduced Allison to the world of rum outside of college-age rum and cokes. (Never again with the Bacardi Gold). Pat and Jenny are parents to the lovely Evie.
Pat Kaulen
Groomsman
Dan and Pat were freshman roommates, and lived together all four years of college, where they also met Pat's future wife Jenny. Their mutual love of video games, the internet (oh the early 2000's) and... other interests forged a lifelong friendship. In more recent years, Pat has educated Dan on the wonderful world of rum, and have remained close friends sipping Daiquiris and Mai Tais ever since.
Stephanie Roth (Feist)
Bridesmaid
Allison had to include "Feist" in Stephanie's name because it's way too weird to not include her sister's shared last name (sorry David). Stephanie is Allison's older sister by 16 months, living in sunny Palm Desert, CA. Stephanie has a love of pickleball, craft cocktails/speakeasies, travel, and embarrassing Allison with nicknames she hates. They are both older sisters to the youngest Feist, Matthew- and they'll never let him forget it.
Matthew Feist
Bridesman
Matthew suffered the indignity of having two older sisters who mothered him relentlessly his young life. Now, he is a recent college graduate with a degree in IT starting a career in his field. He's a wonderful musician and avid gamer, with a kind and loving soul... so I guess we didn't mess him up too much.
Abigail Johnson
Groomswoman
The youngest sibling, Abby lives in Minneapolis with her Fiance James and beloved animals Lucca and Gigi. She shares Dan's lifelong love of music the great outdoors. Her methodical approach to Zelda is ever inspiring to Dan and his lackadaisical approach.
Zoe Johnson
Groomswoman
The eldest sibling and closest in age, Dan and Zoe spent many hours running around the backyard and playing video games in the basement as kids. Now, they enjoy exploring their mutual love of mosh pits, concerts, and local dive bars.
Paul Radke
Groomsman
Paul is the only Augustana groomsmen to have NOT resided in Seminary Hall his freshman year. Dan met Paul through Jeff, and to say the least, had many wild times together in college (somewhere there is a banner of Ken Anderson that Paul cut off a flag pole floating around.) Dan and Paul lived together with Jeff for a couple of years before his lovely wife Mindi stole him away. They enjoy making mediocre beer together.
Sara Rodites
Bridesmaid
The only person who can give Emily a run for her money as hype-man of the year is Sara. Sara and Allison met singing in Third Coast Choir, and couldn't be more grateful that they were deemed "voice twins" and get to sit together. Sara's vibrant, warm personality is effervescent, and they have yet to ever run out of something to talk about when they're together. Sara and her husband Chris also live in Chicago, and even more exciting are new-neighbors of Dan and Allison!
Anthony Buralli
Groomsman
Dan met Anthony through his good friend Bella. Dan and Anthony bonded over being the only stout men of their friend group, and his infectious laughter and endless positivity sealed the friendship. Anthony and Bella recently welcomed their beautiful baby boy Silus to the friend group, and eventually they will be able to plan a trip to go visit Peru together. They share a mutual interest of databases.
Evelyn Kaulen
Flower Girl
Evie, daughter of Pat and Jenny, brightens Dan and Allison's day every time they get to see her. Evie is fearless, full of love, and growing into a beautiful young lady. We will be playing Pink Pony Club at the reception JUST for her.
