Ceremony and Reception

Please wear PURPLE! Anything purple! A dress, a t-shirt, body paint, a Barney costume....... It's Fantasy Fest, anything goes! Please just make it Facebook friendly if you know what I mean. ;)

Don's Place is a no frills, local's bar. They do have a small parking lot but it's a walkable location from Duval St. and other Old Town locations. There's an outside courtyard and we'll have a short ceremony there and then some food, drinks and CAKE! The awesome part about this place is that it is just one block away from the start of the Masquerade March. It's our favorite event at Fantasy Fest. Thousands of dressed up revelers march for blocks to streets lined with excited onlookers. It is a blast and a great opportunity to see some of the very best and most creative costumes. This means after our short reception, our purple group can spill out into the march! Kinda like having our very own wedding parade! Wear comfortable shoes, the parade route is about 10 blocks long. You can choose to march, watch the action from the sidelines or call it quits after the reception.
