Maid of Honor
Lyndsey and I met at Green Chimneys in 2019. We spent 8 months living and working together in the horse barn and somehow managed to come out on the other side still friends. Lyndsey was there for it all, from matching on Tinder, helping me pick out what to wear to our first date, the debrief after, to helping Melissa with the proposal While we sadly don't live in the same house anymore, or even in the same state, we have stayed close and I am honored to have her as my maid of honor.
Matron of Honor
Wendy is my first and longest friend, and also my aunt. She showed me the value in rom-com and chick flick movie nights, shopping trips, concerts, and sleepovers. No matter what we're doing there's always lots of laughter and of course good food. I was honored to be her maid of honor, and I couldn't get married without her by my side.
Bridesmaid
Angelica and I went to St. Teresa's and Mizzou together. We both love cats, nails, and Chipotle. Angelica is the friend that you can call to go run random errands with, gives you about a 10 minute heads up before showing up at your house, and who you can sit with you both on your phones in mutual relaxation and company. There's always lots of yelling and laughter when she's around, and she's 100% who I would call if I needed someone to back me up in a fight, and stand next to me on our wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Syd and I also went to STA together. We were on the softball team and managed to survive running countless triangles, bruised shins, and excessive heat. Many a bus ride, long practice, and inside jokes made for some of my favorite memories and most formative moments in high school. Despite being a year apart in school and living in several different cities from each other Syd has remained one of my best friends and I can't wait to have her by my side when we say "I do".
Maid of Honor
My sister and I have been through everything together so asking her to be my maid of honor made perfect sense. From childhood memories of playing with dolls, playing pretend school, and pretend house to big life moments, she's been there for it all. She is loyal, smart, driven, and dedicated. I am honored to have her next to me on this special day!
Matron of Honor
I met Aleshia at Whittier Elementary School where she worked as a teacher and I worked as a paraprofessional. We quickly hit it off and I was constantly telling Erin about the antics and conversations I had with "Mrs. D". Soon enough they got to meet, and Erin loves her just as much as I do. We love spoiling her 3 kids and she's someone we can go to for advice knowing she will always keep it real with us. She was one of my first friends in Kansas City and I'm so grateful to have someone like her in my life for all the little and big moments.
Bridesmaid
Jay and I have been best friends since my freshman year of high school. We were assigned to the same math class and one day when I had forgotten to do an assignment she let me cheat off of her homework, and since then we've been inseparable. We bonded over TV shows and movies, can spend hours together talking about anything or just enjoying each other's company, and often send fan theories back and forth. Regardless of distance or how often we get to talk, 11 years of friendship is still going strong. I could not get married without her.
Bridesmaid
Loni was one of my suitemates in college. We have so many blurry and wholesome memories together as we learned to navigate the "real world" on our own for the first time. While the years took us in different directions and to different locations, we have always stayed in touch for birthdays which led to rekindling a friendship we both missed. I'm honored she agreed to be one of my bridesmaids.
Officiant
I have known Katie since 5th grade when we played competitive soccer together. Let's just say, we did not hit it off. Then we ended up in advisory together at St. Teresa's and by sophomore year we had formed an unlikely friendship that continued through college and beyond. After Melissa moved to KC, Katie took her in immediately and they did hit it off. Katie has been a great friend to both of us and when we were thinking of who we would like to ask to be our officiant, she was an obvious choice. She has a beautiful way with words, knows us both well, and is a fantastic public speaker. We can't wait for her to usher us into our next phase as wife and wife.
